This is really unbelievable. What could possibly be the reason for mandating black & white?

Color is much more costly and these tomes are filled with pictures.

Are the BC kids back? Or are they on the same schedule as BU?

Agree this is a stupid date to have it...

My nephew is a senior at BC and doesn't return to campus until Monday. Classes start Tuesday.

I missed the 10-1 game my Freshman year because it was played during break. I'm thankful for that.

Fun read. Check it out: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/ryan-whitney-russia-khl/

Same schedule at BU, and I believe dorms open Friday or Saturday. That said, at least when I was in school very few, if anyone, came back before Sunday or Monday so I wouldn't expect many at the game. Absolutely insane that the conference's marquee series is scheduled over (effectively) break for both schools and on an NFL playoff weekend.

Perhaps joeb thinks otherwise when it comes to marquee

Oh come on. Leave the NFL playoff weekend part out of it. There's no way to determine when schedules are made if the Pats 1) would be in the playoffs or 2) would screw up and lose out on the #1 seed so have to play Saturday rather than Sunday.

Not the point, if this series is in the first week of December or even in February some time, there's no conflict with the playoff schedule at all regardless of how New England does.

any athletic entertainment that goes up against the nfl generally loses, regardless of the nfl teams playing. especially true in the playoffs.

True, but I think the point is scheduling over break in general.
This is the third year in a row, I think, that at least one of the games was the Friday before students came back from break - this year it's both Friday/Saturday.

I would think especially with the attendance problems across the board, the athletic departments would want to capitalize on what is arguably the biggest rivalry in college hockey, especially with both schools fanbases being so close to the opposing rinks.

BC does VERY well generally in the games over break at least in the past few years. Attendance last weekend was a sellout vs. PC at Conte and it was a legit packed house as are a lot of these games when they sell the student section tickets to the general public. I wonder if BC doesn't mind it that much to have a game like this and PC over break. But you could counter that this would be a packed house anytime and BC would be better using the break games for a less-than-ideal opponent to pack the house another time.

IDK. In the end, the almighty 12 people that will watch this game on tv will get prime consideration over the athletic departments, the fans, etc. Basically the least important people get the most consideration.

exactly. The biggest asset HE has is the BC-BU rivalry, without that and the two schools, they are nothing. They need to take care of it.

BC got their toughest two series over the student breaks...very interesting!

BU posted a link to the ASN list of local stations nationwide (plus TSN5 in Canada) that will air the BU-BC game Friday. On the chart, there's column to indicate whether the game will be shown delayed, but it's blank for all stations. I know for a fact that SNY in NY, NJ and Connectictu is airing it delayed at 8 p.m. ET. So, checking your local station's own listing is a good idea.

Good news--Dave Starman, who did the color at the WJCs, is joining Tom Caron for this broadcast. However, if ASN is still using the same studio hosts, make sure the mute button on your remote is working.
