Are you OK sterlippo? This is the second post I've seen today where you've been, let's say....less than your pleasant old self. You know how I worry!!!!

hahahha, you're right Scarlet and i'm sorry. ;) I was on a plane flying back here and wasn't happy about it so maybe that was part of it but this gambling thing is getting tedious. I come here to read good hockey talk and to laugh at Mookie posts so i was happy someone changed the subject:)

Scott Weighart: "While the WJC players will be tired, Quinn assured me that they will be playing Thursday."

well, not as though there is any real option otherwise!

Thursday's game at Harvard will be on NESNplus.

And to think the Q is an offensive-minded league and he's playing against same and younger-aged competition...

Exactly. I hope he is ultimately successful, but if you can't make it in the Q, perhaps the ceiling isn't as high as some thought. Which brings me back to the comment about the rationale that nobody in his situation seems to use, but perhaps should - if I'm struggling, I guess I am not as good as I thought, and isn't it a good thing that I am getting this free education! I suppose Kurker may have thought smartly since he stayed the NCAA route.

Was curious as to how A.J. Greer is doing in the Q...Has 0 points in 4 games, is -2 and has 6 PIM.

It is still very early, so the jury should still be out. The team's next game is Friday, the start of 8 games in 15 days. It will be interesting to see how well he does in that stretch.

I took a look at his game-by-game stats and he has been in the starting lineup for all four games. He has not been on the ice for any of his team's goals and in his last game it appears he showed his frustration as he took all three of his penalties, including a roughing in the third and then a slashing at the end of the game. He also served a too many men of the ice penalty in the first period, for what its worth.

Sean - Thanks 4 looking this up. Sounds like his most recent game was a rough one. Agreed that the next 2+ weeks will be a better indicator. I believe he can still play in the Q next season since he's a December 1996 birth date.

Question regarding the two newcomers - I assume, since they don't sound like particularly good players and they weren't heavily recruited, that they are non-scholarship players? If that is the case, then I think it's safe to assume they will be around for four years, so what happens four years from now? Do they leave the team at the halfway point of the season? Do they sit out another fall semester at some point so they can finish up their four years during the spring semester?

Assuming they dress for a single game this season it counts as their freshman year and they will be sophomores come next fall.

No, if you compete at all at any point of a season it is considered a whole year. There are no "half seasons" of competing.

Tough test tonight. Road again against a top-5 team. I don't like our chances, but am hoping for a close game leading into the meat of the HE schedule.

Thanks to NESN+!

I can't say I consider it much of a road game, there will most likely be more BU fans at the rink than Harvard. It happens for most games there...

It'll be interesting to see how much playing time the 4 WJC guys get tonight. And if Grzelcyk, Ahti and Olsson will all return to the lineup from injuries.
