Re: Boston University 2015-16 thread part 2-move along! nothing to see here! all is w
You see ... the problem with that is, there is no confirmed information about any UML player being under suspension for gambling. All the speculation directed at BU surrounding the "scandal" (not my word BTW) is anchored to that simple fact. It's really not all that complicated, is it?
It probably doesn't help things that Coach wasn't forthcoming sooner about why the kid wasn't playing. Eichel's deflective non-response the other day didn't exactly cover himself in glory either. I'm sure they both have reasons for what they did/didn't say or do, and I'm not saying what they said/did was wrong. But objectively, viewed from outside the program, it's not a good look under the circumstances.
Maybe there's nothing else out there? For the sake of BU, Hockey East, and D-1 hockey overall, I really hope there isn't. It doesn't get worse in sports than questions about the integrity of the game. Agree/disagree?

But if you feel you must be annoyed at someone, please direct it towards Nick Roberto. He's the one whose actions have exposed the program and all his teammates (current and former) to this rampant speculation. Just sayin' ...
