Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread Part Deux

For what it's worth, the non-STH that considers doing this still pays that 7.50 charge per ticket, which I don't think you do as a STH, right? I was all excited when I got this offer, thought I would take my family of 4, then realized I would still be paying $90, and decided against it.

Yeah... gotta hate ticketmaster... I assume you could get this price in person at the box office? (That of course assumes it is convienent to get to the box office in person).

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread Part Deux

Ticketmaster is involved in a huge lawsuit where they're paying people back for unnecessary fees or something. If you bought tickets with them, something like $1.50 per ticket order (up to 17 orders).

No Nieto tonight, injured shoulder in practice this week. Apparently questionable for Maine. Alexxxxxxxxxxx Privitera in for MacGregor, healthy scratch. This all according to Freep.

Well that sucks. He's only, like, our best forward.

As for UNH starting a freshman. Before we get too excited see Saturday night's game at HAA.

Megan moves up to Nieto's spot and Courtnall moves up to skate with the rookies.

It is a coupon to use on future orders ( warning- boner alert!!)

I was actually coming here to ask all of you who you think is your best forward. I don't see an obvious #1 superstar, but if I had to pick I'd say Chiasson is actually the one who "scares" me the most.

Eh, Chiasson is good but he is lazy at times. Too many highs and lows in his game, not as much consistency as I'd like to see out of an upperclassman, not to mention 2nd rd draft pick.

In terms of pure talent, I think Nieto is our best F.

When was the last time we went 5-1 against BC and UNH in the HE RS? A quick check shows that we haven't since at least 98-99. We could have in 97-98, but I can't seem to pull that schedule up, and I know we had a great year record wise (18-1 at one point). In 2005-06 we went 4-1-1.

Some interesting records vs. UNH and BC during the 90's run.

'91-'92 2-5-1, 0-3-1 vs BC that year including 1st round of HE tourney
'92-'93 9-1-0, 6-0-0 vs BC that year:eek: Of course they were in a serious down turn for a few years.
'93-'94 6-1-0
'94-'95 6-1-0
'95-'96 4-2-1
'96-'97 6-0-2, 4-0-0 vs UNH that year when both schools were fighting for 1st place in HE
'97-'98 2-3-2

Between '92 and '97 BU went 31-5-3 vs UNH and BC:D

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread Part Deux

Prediction: Connolly scores his first goal of the season against Maine on saturday.

Re: Boston University 2011-2012 Season Thread Part Deux

Dfp blog tweet about "99 pts"....

Brian Collins finished with 99. In the NCAA first rd game at Worcester late he had an open empty net, and instead of taking the shot he passed to a teammate to get the goal. The shooter missed, game ended, bu moved on..... To the next night where uhn shut them out. No 100 pts for captain Brian.

If I recall correctly, BU beat BC 14 straight times in the mid-90s.

this morning I thought to myself...most seasons, if you told me we'd be 7-1 against BC, UNH, Denver and Cornell I'd figure we'd have to be ranked #1 or nearby...hopefully UNH finishes strong this year to get themselves into consideration...many of you know the implications better than I but don't we want those 3 wins to be against a top 25 team?

Glory days!
Why do you folks beat yourselves up like this?
It only makes it hurt more after the 2nd Monday in February. ;) :p

Of course.... wins against a top tier team help more.

So I'm assuming Millan in net tomorrow night?

Good win last night, gotta cap it off on a good note tomorrow night heading into break.

I would think, he looked good last night, didn't have to work nearly as hard as the Friday bc game and there's the off day in the middle.
