Less than 24 hours til another hockey season begins. It's like Christmas Eve every year!:D

Indeed it is. Expectations aren't and shouldn't be too high this year for us. We'll probably be mad more than a few times, and hopefully be happy more than a few as well, but in the end it's all just fun.

Will the canadians be back for the game? I saw that they missed the first game.

I think they will be. It still amazes me that a few of those players decided to come to BU. It's not like Durocher is the most well known coach out there, and the program is only, what? 4 years old? Honestly, if they don't win the national championship, I'm going to be a bit disappointed.

If they do it will be a long season. I think they need to be really good, especially early with the very young defense that is bound to make lots of mistakes.

Someone, I believe FL, just reminded me with his post that we have three new defensemen. Oh boy.... I hope this year Parker isn't too hesitant to go to Kraus. He may not be the most technically sound goalie, but at least he can get from pipe to pipe a heck of a lot faster than Millan did last year. I never read anything about an injury but something must have been bothering him because he was SLOW last year.

Hi all,
I'm a newbie up in Canada. Can someone here explain to me how to watch the games online? I find it pretty confusing-not sure about subscription choices and such. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance....

No problem Cal. For 79.99 you can watch all the BU home regular season games for the season. Or you can pay I think 9.99 a month to watch the home games for individual months.

Note: I'm not sure when the games are televised by NESN they'll be blacked out for All-Access. I know its happened before in previous years.

And this is just for the regular season, the playoffs are not included.

If you have Comcast digital, channel 263 is supposed to have the women's game on now (I don't, so can't confirm). Score is tied at 1 during first per twitter.

Cal, tonight's exhibition game is being streamed online for free. More information here:

It should give you a chance to check out the quality of the video and decide if you want to but the package.

Welcome aboard!

Pretty sure this will be the case again this year. The dates listed were much heavier for the first semester, before NESN starts televising. So the streaming will basically be for any non-televised home game.

Yes it is on. UND could use a slightly more enthusiastic color commentator. BU looked good for a bit at the beginning of the game but the Lamoureuxs made some of our D look kinda silly.

It's a good thing I base my self-confidence as a fan on the comments of USCHO posters. Guess I'm not a real fan.

Thanks, as always. :) I probably won't get to a game until Nov. as I'm traveling or wedding-ing every weekend in Oct; I am going to try and make the Maine game the first weekend in Nov. I hope we can catch up then at whatever place people will be post-gaming.

I will mention that the quality for streaming isn't very good. Its serviceable but if the radio guys didn't take commercials I would just listen to the radio and then watch the highlights later.

i've watched a few low quality streams and they are still far better than listening to ANY hockey game on radio............just my opinion
