How about those Joe Sacco-led Avalanche - first in overall points in the NHL!

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread Part the One

alright! we didn't lose today

It's funny you say that - I didn't realize until just a minute ago (10pm) that we didn't play tonight, but tomorrow. I was looking for the Score Update thread, and didn't see anything for BU-Maine.

I took in the Gwinnett Gladiators game tonight, first I've been to. They hosted the Kalamazoo Wings, whose roster includes both Brian McGuirk and Tom Morrow. We left after the second period (kids). Both teams are in first place in their divisions. Wouldn't you know it, Morrow scored a PPG   Actually a beautiful one time blast from the point. McGuirk also played well. I took some pictures, so if I can figure out how I will post.

Unfortunately the only recognizable name on the Gladiators is Jamie Fritsch from UNH.

Last night's results from Conte confirm that while the Terriers may have played hard on Friday night, they are not playing well. (Though Bernie was raving about Colby's play all night.) When will this team start playing well?

BU Hockey: Out of Sync

Pulled from the Wisconsin-Minnesota thread.

I thought Bennett was awful tonight. The first goal was one of the biggest softies I've ever seen and the next 3 were mostly the defense's fault, but a good goalie has to make an amazing save on some of them. I really admired the 4th Gopher goal though. It was a pretty shot to the upper left that Patrick Roy couldn't have stopped.

At least we are getting good goaltending. :p :)

Sorry for the ignorance defit, but is that AHL hockey?

If BU loses today they are one loss from last year's total.

Parker thought Shattenkirk and Colby played some of their best games as well. I don't think last night's BC-NU game has any impact on how we played. Getting shutout does mean to me that we're not quite in sync, but I'd imagine Rawlings played better against us and was a little bit tired for yesterday's game.

Sorry, but last night doesn't prove much at all. we were down to about 3 or 4 men on defense (out from injuries or illness from the night before)

One of whom I don't think has ever played a game in his life

I know both BU and NU were playing without some key players Friday, but it's tough to take anything away from a game when nearly every one of ours couldn't make it on the ice in Chestnut Hill. (McNeely, Driscoll, Guzior, to name a few.)

Typical NU - recruiting a guy who has never once, in his entire life, played a game of hockey.

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread Part the One

Typical BU - needing to have something spelled out for them

EDIT:

One of whom I don't think has ever played an NCAA game in his life

This is the start of another decade long mulligan for Parker :)
