For the love. Of. GOD! To the BU fans sitting in upper KK that had the unmitigated GALL to chant SCOREBOARD at the BC fans after BC scored their third goal - if I find out who you are I will have Agganis revoke your ticket privileges. And don't think I don't know enough people there to figure out how to do that. Never, ever, EVER, NEVER chant "scoreboard" in a game like that, especially in an opposing team's rink.

That said....yay! I think Colby's last 5 goals have been from that face off dot.

 who won? did it work? :D

you're looking for the five(ish) mostly-drunks that have joined 108 this year and are incredibly loud and obnoxious, one of whom you can never tell what he's saying anyway... i decided it would be a good idea to wait a couple of months to tell you this, but they also started a hey baby in the middle of the third period of the unh game when we were DOWN 3 - 2... i think its better for their safety that you never figure out who they actually are ;)

although if you can have their ticket privileges revoked that'd be awesome, they annoy the crap out of me... basically like a bunch of umass students

Milan is back! He was amazing tonight, saved the game several times. BC did not look too sharp but could have easily won it.

I thought he was great tonight as well, but he really needs to work on his rebound control. There were some scary ones tonight. That said, he looked a lot more calm and collected like the Millan I remember from last season.

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread II: Still got a pulse, time for CPR

Yeah they sung hey baby this game too in the third my friends and i 10 rows below them screamed bloody murder at them for that and the scoreboard...you NEVER SAY THAT unless the clock is all zeros. props to those kids for being loud and boisterous but there are some things you absolutely do not do and those two are them

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread II: Still got a pulse, time for CPR

Looks like I'll be on NESN tonight between periods, presumably talking about my BURN THE BOATS book about BU's seven-championship season last year. Tune in if you can.

I'll also be signing copies of the book before the game and between the periods, near the concession stand. For each book bought at Agganis, $7 goes directly to the BU hockey program.

As always, those unable to attend can purchase the book online at www.buhockeybook.com... and still get free shipping within the US, apparently! A portion of those proceeds goes to the BU program as well.

Lots to like about last night's performance, though I wonder: when was the last time that BU allowed 40+ SOG in back-to-back games?

I'll reluctantly tip my hat and say that BC is quick and has a lot of firepower upfront. Hope that the Terriers can play a tighter game tonight against UNH. Doesn't seem as if they miss van Rimesdyk. After his debut at HAA a couple of years ago, he never looked as if he cared much. Now he's in the bigs while Colin Wilson is still in Milwaukee.

Hey, does anyone know if Scott Weighart wrote a book?...

Beat UNH? (I guess)

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread II: Still got a pulse, time for CPR

Yeah, those kids tried to sing Hey Baby in the third but they didn't even know the words. As much as they were loud, they clearly had no idea what they were doing or what to say. They were also trashed beyond belief.

While Kieran made a lot of saves, his rebound control really concerned me. He's stopping shots but not controlling them and his defense really bailed him out a few times (they also screwed him over a few times, too, for what it's worth).

I hope the team can continue the intensity and drive tonight against a team that isn't BC. It's very easy to get amped up for a game against BC, and it's very easy to take it easier the next night. They really need 4 points this weekend, and UNH is not a team that you can take for granted. They are in first.

Lineup for tonight remains the same as last night, except in goal. Rollie gets the start.

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread II: Still got a pulse, time for CPR

While Kieran made a lot of saves, his rebound control really concerned me. He's stopping shots but not controlling them and his defense really bailed him out a few times (they also screwed him over a few times, too, for what it's worth).

When players are taking shots from 3, 5, and 7 feet away from the crease you really can't expect a goalie to save the puck and not give up a rebound, unless the shot goes directly into his catch or low on his chest protector. What he did do was make the first save virtually 100% of the time, and put the rebound in front of him so even if one of his defenders doesn't win the puck, which if they are in position they have the first shot at the puck, he is squared to the puck and in position for the second save. The problem, in my mind, last night was not how Kieran played the shots from close distances, but the number of times he had to. The defenders don't let BC's forwards get to the net with the frequency they did and they don't need to get the two points, but I'm not saying that's an easy task though, as BC's forwards are lightning quick.

Is there any way to watch NESN online?

Re: Boston University 2009-2010 Season Thread II: Still got a pulse, time for CPR

Was watching some of your game tonight and could've sworn I heard your band playing Rick Astley.

Never gonna give, never gonna give!
