She pretty much blew up half our players for no reason. It was pretty nuts, especially once the score was out of hand. What did Murphy do this time?
There will surely be fights when she makes it to the pw.

She had 87 penalty minutes last season; second most in the WCHA was 55 minutes. The three most penalized Wisconsin players totaled 84 minutes. She pretty much blew up half our players for no reason. It was pretty nuts, especially once the score was out of hand.
She had her reasons, even if I don't agree with them. In the case of #2, that was payback for a play last night where she ran her into the boards. Personally, I wouldn't be putting my team down a skater when my goalie is 2 minutes from a shutout, but then I wasn't the one who got drilled. For teams that don't play each other, that was a very contentious series, and it went far beyond one or two players. Not physical -- unfriendly. She pretty much blew up half our players for no reason.
And BC's players got away with some dirty hits on her, prompting retaliation. Especially BC's Murphy who finally got called for crosschecking after doing it about 20 times and Taber. BC's players were letting their emotions get the better of them at the end. With the way they were acting, I really can't blame Abbey for pushing back especially since...She pretty much blew up half our players for no reason. ...the only time tonight after the 1st Period when BC looked remotely competitive was when they were on a Power Play and even then it took me a second to realize they even were. That's how badly they were playing.Abbey Murphy is what is brought up in this thread when the bc eagles lost two games to the tunnlers by a combined score of 18-1?
both can be true. Brutal result by BC, also Murphy is a dirty player and anyone trying to pretend otherwise is also smarter than that. And BC's players got away with some dirty hits on her, prompting retaliation. Y'all wanna kvetch about Abbey, if that makes y'all feel better have fun. But frankly I've seen bad Bemidji teams look more competitive against a fully loaded Gopher team. Look in the mirror for why you got swept by a combined score of 18-1.
Grant I've always enjoyed your posts on here and I've got a lot of respect for BC as an institution, but you're smarter than to try and drag Abbey Murphy into this.
You are true to your eagles, I will give you that. But that performance tonight had to be more fuel for the folks who advocate a coaching change.
I mean WTF else am I going to talk about, we lost 11-0; I am going to do my best to forget this entire weekend ever happened lolAbbey Murphy is what is brought up in this thread when the bc eagles lost two games to the tunnlers by a combined score of 18-1?
The 1 player that BC brought in from the portal was playing on the first line the last 2 games and she hardly played at Minnesota for 4 years.
I'll let all of my previously expressed opinions about Abbey Murphy speak for themselves. I will say that the Eagles gave as good as they got in the chippy play department. There were a lot of things that went uncalled both ways, and I'm sure that there were a lot of players who felt aggrieved by the officiating and each other.
Not really, no; losing Pellerin and Jordan broke me in a way that I haven't been broken before, but my opinion is that the problem is much larger than Katie Crowley and bringing in a new coach is just going to give you the same results (at best) in the new world of NIL and the transfer portal. League-wide, the competition is not there, the talent is not there, and whether it's UConn or NU or BU or us or whoever who claw their way to the top of our one-bid league in a given year, that team will not be competitive in the NCAA tournament. Am I wrong? This is a problem that's larger than BC.What say you @TonyTheTiger20 ? Are you still confident with this rebuild ?

Not that Grant needs my defending but hockey east is a bit isolated from a big non conf schedule. It’s totally legit to comment on a team USA player that finally comes to town that you finally watch play against your team. This is Murphys first series since she ran KK in the NCAAs and KK had to crawl off the ice.
Not of it changes the fact on 18-1 . Let’s multi task here
Merrimack just managed to beat Clarkson 5-3 and beat BC in the last matchup they had too...They play St Anselms next weekend and then I think Merrimack so you must be pretty fired up for a few wins ! Hockey East final 4 here we come !!

I see that I am squarely in the minority on Crowley, but I've said my piece and it is what it is.
Had we kept Pellerin and Jordan I think we would have been favorites for the league. But, we didn't, so, we aren't. Believe me when I tell you I'm beyond deflated about it. Losing these two hurt. It was a real gut punch after getting myself hyped up all during last season about how this year should be the next step.
We will be respectable in-conference just like the rest of the top half of the league, but we (just like the others) will be a non-factor nationally.
Really good ? I think she had 3 goals in 4 years in almost 100 games played.Emma Conner hardly played for Minnesota for four years because she couldn't stay healthy. On the disappointingly rare occasions she could dress, she was really good. She just had a season ending injury each of the last three years. I hope she can play a complete season for BC.
Wow- I should not have said that. SorryMerrimack just managed to beat Clarkson 5-3 and beat BC in the last matchup they had too...
