Re: Boston College Season Thread: PART II

Just saw another new commitment. Travis Jeke 6'4" defenseman from Northwood School. I believe he's a 93 birthday and if I had to guess he's coming next year with Dumoulin probably leaving. Anyone know anything more about him?

93 birthday? Coming in for the 2012/13 season? That can't be right!! Bc only brings in 18yo freshman according to Tim:p!

Interesting. Even with Dumoulin leaving early (everyone has known about this for about 12 months now) BC had 7 Dmen for next year lined up. This could be bad news for Piazza if the concussion issues he is having this year are pushing him back one year (or worse, hopefully not).

The timing is interesting given the KJT news that also recently came out. Was BC still on the hook for his scholarship?

Also, the kid is from Pittsburgh. I thought Penn State was going to get all these Pennsylvania kids and win the next 30 national titles?

Now that you mention it, I think York said he'd honor the scholarship but there wouldn't be room on the roster & he's free to pursue other offers.

Stole this from the West Regional thread:

"How many BU fans do you estimate will be in attendance? I guess I could go around counting the guys with a Pauly D haircut, calling bartenders "Chief", ordering Jaeg-bombs, and raping the fine ladies of the midwest but an estimate from a guy in the know will suffice."

Go BC-- You better be in Tampa when I get there :)

Hope all guys are doing good

This is great. But fine ladies of the midwest? I guess compared to the things roaming around Sux2BU, but not like the ones we get on The Hill.

Heisenberg now has Piazza listed as a 2013 commit. Hopefully he gets better hasn't played since November so not a good sign.

Re: Boston College Season Thread: PART II

I mean no disrespect to the winning teams tonight, but if BC is lucky enough to get to the Final, you'd have to think they would be pretty heavily favored against any of the 4 possible teams they could face (Union, FSU, UML and Cornell). I realize these are all very good teams, but they just don't scare me quite as much as Michigan, Miami and Denver. If we get to the FF, our biggest challenge may be getting by UND or MN in the semi's, though it would obviously be foolish to think that the final will be anything but a tough game as well. First things first and really need to focus on getting by AF tomorrow as they have proved they belong in this tournament over the past few years.

I agree with ALL of this...., I am sure the championship game will be competitive no matter who BC plays but looking at the draw, it looks like BC will only have two real tests (regional final game and FF game vs the winner of the West regional).

Re: Boston College Season Thread: PART II

Apologies for not posting in haiku form. But the Cornell win tonight erased any chance BC might have of not showing up. Doesn't mean they'll win, but they'll show up.

Re: Boston College Season Thread: PART II

Yep. If tonight showed us anything, you better show up or you are going to be in for a long night.

Coach York will have the boys ready by 4:00 tomorrow. Go Eagles!

So you have dismissed BU or WM in that regional? I wouldnt be surprised in the least if BU beats Minny. UND going down would surprise me however

Re: Boston College Season Thread: PART II

Air Force, Ferris, Lowell and Western Michigan are your Frozen Four teams. Four is also the number of fans who would actually show up in Tampa if this happened.

What a joke the other half of the bracket is.

2 of Union, UMLOL, Cornell, Ferris St will be making the FF, 1 will be playing for the championship.
