:52 second mark. Filthy goal by Alex Tuch.

He scored one like that earlier this year at Conte, exactly the same thing. I think it was in the exhibition. With his size and ability to do a little dangling and some serious shooting, he's an impressive young player. At 220, guys just bounce off of him. There's a lot of Jimmy Hayes in his game I think.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Trust me it is 2016. And if he is not at BC in 2016 he won't be there in 2017 - too many other schools were in the running for 2016.
This would beg the questions...
1. with so many schools interested, why did he choose BC?
2. if he is asked to defer until 2017, why would he be so eager to take his ball and go home?

kid would have to be projected high pick and play usndpt. otherwise those types are almost always pushed to do a post-grad year. if you are coming in and wanted to play as a true freshman 18yo, you better be ready.

1. Best combination of school and hockey on the East coast - 1st choice.
2. Why should he waste a year of playing/developing at the ncaa level with other schools ( and even CHL ) as options.

The same could be said for any elite level hockey player - they have options. Its his first choice but not his only potential choice.

Yes and yes

Campoli is projected to be a high draft pick and currently plays for US NTDP U17. He is a dual citizen born in Quebec.

I'd say more than just likely. Seems they waited till the very end to pull the plug because they really wanted him to be on the team. Tough break for Santini, but glad he'll be back playing for BC soon.

He definately would have helped today against Finland. Defence was sloppy.

They just had an interview with Eichel during the US-Canada game and he said he always wanted to go to BC growing up but BU was a better fit when he had to decide. I'm surprised he would say that and I wonder what the reasons were. It's rare you get that kind of honesty nowadays from an athlete.

That is not the first time I've seen that he has said that. It's kind of common knowledge that he grew up a big BC fan.
Some speculation on the reason. It is rumored that he told BU prior to committing that he would give them one year. Jerry may have wanted a minimum 2 or 3 year commitment. If true, more honesty and integrity on Eichel's part.

wonder why jrrrrry would have insisted on that. he has had (and won with) 1yr guys before. it seems a given, especially if you want to compete for those highly talented true freshmen.

Oh sure, test the old guy's memory, but IIRC, Kobasew leaving after his frosh year in 2001 is the only one that comes to mind, for hockey reasons anyway. Most BC/NHL'ers have given Jerry 3 years, some just two and some four.

He realized he didn't want to go to class while playing. BU fit the bill. ;-)

This is what I've heard as well on the BC side. Also makes me think no way we get Austin Matthews as well (if he goes NCAA route...). But kudos to Eichel, there's no way he does nor should he stick around another year.

Also we question who has developed of late as a critique of the staff. You need to add Ian McCoshen to the list. He's our most pro ready Dman, very good on both sides and played another monster game for USA last night.

Was Chris Kolanos one year or two?
