Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Hey profromdover, sterlippo, SonofSouthie and BCEagle... all is well. Thanks for your texts. I'm down in Puerto Rico where it is very very hot and the golf is great. :) Sucks to be me, but someone has to do it. See you next week!

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

If BC Clarkson and Denver win BC moves to second in the PairWise behind St Cloud.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Even against the likes of uconn and merrimack, i can't get too upset at 3 point weekends. Notre dame has to finish with Providence and BU. next weekend is the big one for BC. I'd take another 3 pointer. Rest up and head out on the road.

Btw, thank you denver. BC now breathing down north dakota's neck.

Aside from winning league, you really don't want to slip to 3rd and potentially have to battle northeastern again.

no, that's for sure especially the way they are playing............ 8 goals to Merrimack in 2 games? Jerry has some work to do this week in practice.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Yep. Def didn't play with that defensive intensity they had against ND, harvard and BU

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

That's a nice place. Been there

They still have Bermuda greens? Tricky to read
The Ocean Course was a mess. The greens were in terrible shape with a LOT of bare spots and the fairways burnt up. There were 15 NCAA women's teams staying here and playing on the River Course, which we couldn't get on. El Conquistador, 30:00 up the road, was in very good shape with a very nice layout and great views. Weather was great!

We stayed at el conquistador last year before heading over to Culebra. Nice enough place ;). We were at palmas del mar a few years ago but can't tell ya how the golfing was. Too busy seeing, I mean watching da scenery :D

Weather always seems great there. I spent maybe 100 days down dere over the years and bet we got rained on once or twice. Always 84 degrees, perfect

Haha... mookie would love the Northwestern team. ;)
The Arkansas girls, with coaches and a few parents, played us in pool volleyball. Kicked our butts in game one, then we got serious. :D

Sorry, no pictures.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

so what are we rooting for in the ND-PC series? With PC finishing with a two game bye in UMass, I don't want them sweeping ND. Certainly don't want an ND sweep. Either a split or PC taking 3 points would be best. If you care about the RS title, prob gonna be in a position to root for BU out at ND to end the season. Bleh. ;)

Absolutely agree.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

absolutely crazy that the HE season is >80% done, the team has 1 loss & doesn't control their own destiny.

also interesting that 25% of the league is allowing < 2 goals per game in conf

I think one thing I neglected to mention is that the tiebreaker after H2H is conference wins; which will come into play if we finish tied with ND since the two teams split the season series. ND not only owns a point advantage but also has two more wins in conference. So if ND and PC split, the ideal situation would be for them to tie twice rather than a true split of win-loss.

I think hoping for ND to split (conventional W-L) both of their series coming up is reasonable as PC and BU are nothing to sneeze at, which would put them at 34 pts and 16 wins. PC has UMass on the back end so assume that above conventional split in the ND series and sweeping UMass puts them at 34 pts and 15 wins. So BC would have to win 3 of 4 to get the 35th point needed to trump both teams. Or win two and tie two.

Anything less than that and things would be iffy and a lot of different scenarios come into play. At the end of the day, two ND ties > ND win and ND loss (all other things equal).
