Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

prolly knew a couple weeks ago that we would have to root for BU but if you think about it, it's a win-win situation. You're happy no matter the result:)

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

so what are we rooting for in the ND-PC series? With PC finishing with a two game bye in UMass, I don't want them sweeping ND. Certainly don't want an ND sweep. Either a split or PC taking 3 points would be best. If you care about the RS title, prob gonna be in a position to root for BU out at ND to end the season. Bleh. ;)
Whatever works so we only have to drive to Woostah instead of Albany for the Regionals. ;)

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Today's Fun Fact:

Austin Cangelosi, with 14G 14A and 28 points - just a tick under a point per game - leads the team with a whopping 64% faceoff percentage and shooting percentage at 22%. Nationally, he is the #1 faceoff guy in the country for anyone that has taken over 100 faceoffs this year. His shooting percentage is ranked tied for 9th best nationally. He also has only taken 4 minor penalties all season.

It'd be great if he can pile on some more points and make a run at 2nd team All America ... he's having that good of a season when you consider the well-rounded game he is bringing to the team in his role.

mookie will miss him too when he leaves eligibility on the table and goes pro at the end of the year.... *sniff*

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Had to wonder about cangelosi after last year but you see the speed and confidence now. Just a totally different player.

i didnt think it was gonna happen with him, glad i'm wrong. we all knew how huge a step up by him would be for the team

Same here... I had pretty much given up as sad as it is to say. These types of guys are the ones that really embody what the BC program is all about. Lombardi, Cangelosi, Chris Collins, etc. Maybe even Teddy Doherty. Stick with it, trust the process and the staff, keep the faith, keep moving toward your degree, keep working hard on the ice and things come together for them. It's really a great, great thing to see. We need a team full of those types ... no whiny, prissy girls like Bracco. Bracco leaving was the best thing to happen to this team.

As expected BC was up in Burlington last night. Noticed a BC player in a red no-contact jersey from the pic that BChockeynews tweeted out. Have to assume that is Calnan still?

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Ah possibly, forgot about that vicious elbow from a Merrihack player one day after some Merrihack fanboy told us they weren't dirty anymore.

Looks like Matheson is getting called up to the show for the Panthers.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Craig Wyszomirski, 6-4, 220lbs pos.

Oh ya. No suspension huh? Interesting.

You have to laugh a little at the way things worked out last week. Wood suspended, Moran not. BC wins without Wood. Moran and Greenway score the only goals in a BU 2-1 win. It was Thug Karma Night over at Egganus Arena Friday night. Can imagine how elated the Hockey East offices were on Saturday morning! :D

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Recall it was slightly less violent than beaves decapitating a goalie.....
