Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

I will be stunned if this Tolvanen kid arrives at BC next year

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Have not checked the site for a long time and just checking in. Just renewed my season tickets and there will obviously be a lot of new faces with the veterans remaining on this team.

Always look forward to the new season but let's enjoy the summer first )

Any comments on recruits coming in the fall ? Not just BC but other teams too that will obviously make an impact on the other teams too.

Despite this mass exodus I have hope in the hockey team unlike the other varsity teams at BC. Maybe basketball will improve with some good recruits coming in.

Yeah, how's BU doing on the recruiting front? I haven't read a thing. :p:)

Geeeezzzuuuuuusssssss, no kidding! The Terriers will OWN college hockey for the next several years. Maybe I'll give up my season tix and wait out the storm.

York could put the Heights custodial crew on skates and still win the Beanpot. ;)

To answer Mookie's question, I believe BC should finish 3 or 4 in Hockey East. They will be on the bubble of the NCAA tournament, heading into the Hockey East tournament. If there aren't too many upsets in conference tournaments throughout the country, they make the NCAA tournament. They can take care of business on their own by making it to the Hockey East final.

are we at the point with und leaving there will be a mix of bc, umlol, pc & bu in some order in the top 4 for the foreseeable future? is/will nu be able to break through and finish up there every so often (or do they replace one of the 4?).

sure seems like umo, uhm, uvm, uma, mc & uconn are stuck in the rear except for a special lightning in a bottle season once every leap year.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Providence and lowell also lost a lot i believe. The league should be wide open. Hard for me to place actual expectations on this team. I do think they will still score a lot of goals though.

I think the best thing you guys have going for you is that the top of the league should be fairly weak. PC lost so much I could see them finishing seventh or eighth. BU will have some high end talent but I'm not sure how much depth they have. ND, UML, and NEU should all be solid, but not much more than that. I could easily see no Hockey East teams making the frozen four.

Re: Boston College: It's Trophy Time

Thought hoky claimed PC has a solid pipeline for now into the future

PC had the third or fourth most drafted kids in this past draft and the kid slated to start in goal was drafted a few years ago by Montreal while Ellis wasn't picked and we know how that went.

PC best player and top offensive defenseman in the country last season is back in Walman so should be interesting.

Stating all that BU has the most talent and ND probably has the best team with experience returning.

I see some folks are sandbagging for us, and some others are puffing out their chests... so I'm just gonna S_T_F_U. :D
