Probably on the way to #1 with Yale's 2 losses this weekend.
You're like the 5th person I've seen to say this. Am I missing something? Yale probably won't even drop out of #1, let alone us moving up from 6th.

The Eagles are ranked #2 going into this weekend, aren't they? And how on earth is it possible for a team to lose twice in a weekend and NOT fall from the spot they held?

6th? BC was #2 coming into the weekend.

Yale is going to drop. They may hold on to first place votes but BC will probably be #1 on Monday when the next polls come out. I'd rather they stay away from #1 but it is what it is.

You're looking at the POLLS?

Why in the world would you bother looking at the polls at this point in the year? Who gives a crap? The PWR is the only thing that matters.

Seriously, I didn't think anyone even bothered looking at the polls this late...

The only reason PWR matters is if you get into the NCAA tournament or now. Not to mention the fact that the PWR are a very flawed rating system. KRACH is much better.

Oh and we are now in 3rd in the PWR anyway.

Who said anything about the quality of the rating system? The BCS blows but it's the only one you look at once it comes out because that's the one that matters.

The only reason to look at the PWR is to find out if you are in the NCAAs or not. BC is pretty clearly in right now and are likely in unless they go on some ridiculous losing streak.

The polls at least take into account current play, strength of opponent and who is playing the best recently. PWR doesn't take into account any of these factors. That is why, I and many people look at the polls.

The whole BRACKET is based on PWR, not just who gets in.

Why not go by Power Rankings rankings? Also:

Nice. :p

I agree, PWR is the only thing that matters and polls are worthless. But that wasn't what all those people were talking about when they were talking about being #1. I was just telling you what you were missing when you asked "What am I missing?"

5th. NoDaks win over CC wasn't counted yet.
I stand corrected. We're still in t-3 (and would be alone in 3rd if we weren't losing that random Western Michigan comparison...) .0001 difference between us and NoDak... wow haha

For the record, I think BC is #1 too, but my opinion matters as much as those polls. That's all I'm saying.

Too many penalties. Again.

yep, double digits. again;)......strange game , i thought we were in complete control and it was only 2-0 heading into the third and then they get the first one and it's 2-1 and it's "anything can happen" but you knew it wasn't going to............

This just in: The 2011 Ice Breaker has been moved to Grand Forks. BC will open against Michigan at Englestadt.

the 3 seniors ended up 6-5-1 vs UML in their four years........that with a sweep this year. i know they are always tough but that surprised me, 3-5-1 going into this year

Re: Boston College Hockey 2010-2011, Part II - We Still Have Jerry York. Sorry, Every

i think they just need to do something to keep it interesting. you're not that much younger than i, that you should remember one game where Larry Bird was playing so well that he decided to take only left hand shots. he didn't use his right all night.

that is what i think your boys are doing. they are just so much better than every other team that they figure this benefits them, or just something to keep them going.

well, Sneddon said The Mack is the best team he's seen and he saw DU too:eek:..........is he blowing smoke like you?;) then again, he saw DU in Oct and BC in Nov. BC has stepped it up a bit since then and DU has been lights out but high praise for the Mack in any event...........and, yes, i remember the Bird thing:)

Wow that surprises me. A far cry from the Gionta years (both of them) when none of the 8 teams that had a Gionta on the roster ever lost a game to Lowell.

Mookie your Larry Bird story made me laugh. That's hilarious.

Is it time to move Bill Arnold up to the 2nd line in place of Pat Mullane? I like Mullane, but I think Arnold has more talent/upside and deserves a shot.
