Interesting stat of the day during bye week boredom (and to not have the #GrantSucks thread near the top)

BC's goal differential is nearly 3x better than any other school in HE in conference play:

Boston College 35
New Hampshire 13
UMass Lowell 11
Maine 11
Notre Dame 3
Providence 1
Northeastern 1
Vermont 1
Massachusetts -19
Boston University -23
Merrimack -34

absolutely absurd

and we've lost the scoring touch the past game and a half +. One goal in the last 93 minutes or something. Jerry is working on the potion to fix it

I still think Hayes is hurt. This 2 week layoff could be great for BC. It's not like they've been playing amazing hockey and you don't want to break up their momentum either.

Apparently Matheson didn't look near 100%, which if true given his injury why would he be out there or was it more of a rust issue?

I'm not worried about the scoring. Played 2 very good defensive teams with nothing at stake. We had moments in each game where we turned it up a notch. They'll have it turned up a notch for 60:00 from here on out.

I support this thread -- I'm going to delete the other one. Internal strife is the enemy, and all that.

And also BU fans are bumping the other thread and that makes me feel dirty.

Yeah, for all our *****ing about the new format , for this particular team I think you're right. It's just what the doctor ordered, at least for matheson and Hayes. Perhaps for the coaching staff too. i e fitting straight for a suit

It's weird but not the worst thing in the world, getting another ski weekend out of it :D

Random bye week stat of the day: BC is 88 for 96 killing penalties in HE play, add back in the 5 SH goals in HE it's 97% efficiency. Unreal. Especially considering wasn't it Cav who ran the special teams?

Miles Wood has officially committed to BC per Mike McMahon of College Hockey News. Nice get.

Edit: Forgot to add he is coming this fall.

The rich get even richer for next season. Though Johnny Gaudreau is probably saying adios to the Heights the second BC's season ends.

I suppose but I'm not convinced. I probably have my head in the sand because after watching this kid for three years you don't want to see it end
