Agreed, Leahy has done good things on the academic & financial side of the house but it's time for him to move on.

18 years is a long time for someone to remain president. Monan has the record at 24 but no one besides the two of them have been over 10.

As you said, it's time for some new blood.

NESN has decided that you should watch a replay of last night's Bruins game than any of the Hockey East games happening live tonight. But that's them.

Tomorrow, they are picking up one game labeled as 'TBD' and starting at the curious hour of 4pm.

NESN will be showing the BC & ND game on Saturday afternoon.

They probably think that 2 televised ND games (plus TV timeouts!) in 24 hours isn't good for anyone's health.

And they're right.

If Leahy had a clue or cared, he would let Bates do his job. I'm not renewing my basketball tickets to watch another season of bad basketball and coaching. I watch one player and wonder how the **** he made this team, no athleticism and coordination at all and know he would struggle to play for a good Div. II or III school. But with Don, he gets a good amount of PT with his endless substitutions during a game. This last legacy of GDF is just plain awful from any POV, coaching, recruiting and other things.

The program is just an embarrassment and they should put up cardboard fans in the seats next year to fill the seats.

Pffffffft. I guess that Bruins game will get better ratings than that bumbling butt-kissing nitwit Charlie Moore. Hey let's go catch some fish and kiss someone's butt; they're on a boat so they can't run away from me. Great idea!

well that was some kind of defensive breakdown, eh? absolute killer to allow that to happen. bc should have an advantage 4 on 4...that can't happen.

and what's with reviewing every goal in the playoffs? takes longer than it should and is seriously annoying.

hopefully that's something bates is looking into.

tough to play much worse than this. suppose that's the good news. the bad news is nd looks like the experienced team that they are. a ton of core, impact seniors for them.

one difference that is startling is how easily nd is gaining the blue line with the puck. bc is giving up the blue line way too easily and turning nd into a more dangerous team than they are.

for the forwards, just no rhythm, tempo, confidence...nothing. i know nd is rightfully criticized for their style but they deserve a lot of credit. they are focused and not intimidated. just a very bad matchup for bc and certainly not your typical 1 vs. 8 series.

maybe do a set up for a final five (6)?

first rd best of 3, 1-12, 2-11,,, 6-7

then thursday 3-6, 4-5
friday 1-(4/5), 2-(3/6)
saturday final.

if jacobs doesn't want to give up 3 nights, go play in hartford.

BC will play in a 4pm game tomorrow, the one that NESN will televise. I hope the Eagles aren't playing themselves right out of Worcester...never mind right out of TD Garden.
