Jeff Jackson has a little jack Parker in him huh?

Much better tonight

27-18-10 yikes

That drop pass from Matheson? Good Lord

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

Much better. MUCH better. Matheson worse but whatever.

BC was a lot more aggressive on the Forecheck and played a lot tougher. Hit people.... Finally. No more of this soft crap. Last night was disgusting and now we all have to go back tomorrow because of it.

Summerhays is as good at acting as he is kicking the net off the post. BUT... He did flash several insane glove saves in the 2nd period.

Edit - interesting that each game has seen the loser score first. With these two teams scoring first should be a big deal. Strange.

maine's season is over...that's never a bad thing

Yes, that end of the ice was good. But there were an awful lot of 'unforced giveaways' by BC in their own zone to almost neutralize that improved play.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

OK, let's end this series tomorrow and move on to the semis. I was glad they were not backing off today on defense.

Impressive streak by Johnny G. So at this point is he the most talented forward in HEA history other than Kariya? Where do Reasoner and Gionta and Montgomery fall in there?

Yes there was. I only saw the last 25 minutes of the game and the turnovers in our zone were numerous. We've got to be better than that today to advance to next weekend.

I'd say so. Last night's pregame speech came from Mike Ayers probably. Hahahahahahha.

and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE

That boarding call on Santini was hilarious, you could see Santini pulled up, the hit happened in slow motion, I literally laughed out loud at how slow it happened and then of course the arm shot up for a penalty. Then the jack arse stays down trying to milk a 5 out of it.

So... Bob Hohler did it again huh? What a lowlife. Hahahaha. Rover and mookie must be loving it.

37 SOG's last night, 44 in the previous two games vs these guys. UNH fans can put comments here. For us it was a great sign

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

What now?
Mookie don't read no glob :)

Well he hasn't written an article about the point shaving scandal in a few years and it was a slow news day so naturally he went chasing Rick Kuhn into Pennsylvania to write a story about nothing that no one cares about and the editors put it on the front page. Same old Bob Hohler.

Re: Boston College Hockey '13-'14: Tournament Season - One Game At A Time!

So I knew it was pretty much done after we blew chunks on Friday but after last night I wanted to take a quick look at the B1G bracket and the numbers behind the COP comparison between BC and MN again.

A few facts first:
- COP currently is held by MN 4.75 to 4.5.
- Minnesota gets favorable brackets in that they will not face a common opponent that they share with BC until the championship game. Michigan, Wisconsin, and Penn State are all on 1 side of the bracket. This makes it easier to break down the scenarios.

OK so assume BC beats ND today (iffy) and they don't lose to UNH in the Garden if they advance (duh). BC will go up to a 4.6000.

Minnesota scenarios:
Lose to Michigan, they get 4.6000 and tie BC. Tiebreaker on the 1 seed goes to RPI.
Lose to Wisconsin, they go 4.6500 and get the 1-seed.
Lose to Penn State, they go 4.550 and BC wins COP and RPI once again is the sole determinant.

Not out of the realm of possibility but I'd say it's not reasonable to expect to grab the overall 1 at this point. I'm sure as heck not going to root for Pedd State under any circumstance.

i enjoy rooting against the gophers...does the big ten have a consolation game?
