Hobey top 3 will be announced today April 3 at 4pm. I fully expect Ryan Leonard to be one of the three along with Zeev Buium. As to the third it could be almost any of them. Good chance it will be Alex Tracy the only Goaltender on the list. My pick for a true longshot is Mac Gadowsky of Army, the son of the Penn State coach.

I would think the 3rd finalist would be Isaac Howard, CHN's player of the year.

Saw on Heisenberg your next goalie in the pipeline is due to arrive 2027….so it’s prolly too early to accelerate him 🤔

Two major junior players that BC leads for are Jack O’Brien and Porter Martone. BC has another dozen major junior players visiting over the next two weeks. Next season BC will increase the scholarships from 18 to 26.

Let’s hope Greg Brown finds an experienced offensive assistant coach for next season.

Go Eagles! 🦅

GB has done an outstanding job rebuilding the defense, it’s literally night and day from the disaster he inherited. The small puck moving defenseman experiment was a total failure.

Unfortunately, GB has no idea how to coach offense. His assistants have no clue either. They don’t execute their odd man rushes, the power play is atrocious and they can’t put lines together. I don’t see any development from the forwards either. It’s the complete opposite of the defense.

After the NU loss GB should have changed the lines. He didn’t and once again they could not score. Buckley has to go.

Leonard, Gasseau, Perrault
Stiga, Hagens, Briard
Letourneau, Vote, Sondreal
Joyce, Posma, Shamburger

GB is only going on his third year… which means the majority of the team was built on JY recruits.

The D during his tenure were successful because they had Fowler to bail them out.

Let’s wait to praise his D acumen until they are forced to actually play team D behind a goalie who isn’t Fowler…

BC doesn’t develop, they recruit. Hold your observations until next year when it will be rebuilding a team who doesn’t have a generational goalie to keep them in games…

western michigan got goals from 4 players beyond the top 6 saturday night. in the last 7 games of our season, we got 1 goal from 1 player beyond our top 6

The ESPN crew gave an interesting stat about draft picks and national championships during the broadcast, but I don't recall it specifically. From what I recall, the odds do not favor the teams with tons of picks.

I would give Andy Powers a shot. He seems to add a lot interesting comments during the games and seems not afraid to make adjustments if he was a bench coach when commenting during games. But I doubt there will be any changes knowing Brown.

Probably because teams with lots of picks have talent but are very young and inexperienced.

A player from Clarkson just entered the portal, Ellis Rickwood. He could be just what BC needs to fill out their roster. A center with 10G 25A and a +16 rating, which is the second highest +/- among portal players. Only 1 year of eligibility but a seasoned productive player in the center position would be valuable. Most importantly 57.5% in FO (430-318), that alone is worth going after.

Eamon Powell was best D-man and an excellent puck mover. He is 5” 11. Minnetian might be second best and same height .. Hreschuk was very good defender and same size. Have no idea what team you were watching.
Offense was fine with the elite players brought in over past two years such as Leonard, Perreault, Stiga, Hagens .. Lines 3 and 4 are loaded with walk-on/partial scholarship type leftovers from York. Will Vote shows some promise but may have a line 3 cap on him. Posma is a 4th line center who was forced up to line 3 and on the 2nd power play unit..Incoming class should bolster some depth, scoring on bottom 6 lines.

I believe he was referring to the fact that BC always seemed to have at least 1 or 2 defensemen that were 5'9" or 5'10" and weighed about 170 that were counted on to move the puck up the ice. This years' team had only one Dman under 185 and that was Fortescue at 6'2" 180. Powell is listed on the official BC roster at 6'0" 185.
