Re: Boston College 2010-2011 In-Season Thread: Long Live The "Eagle" Empire!

Does the banner raising ceremony begin at 7pm on Friday? Or does the game begin at 7pm on Friday? Which would move the banner raising to 6:45 or 6:50.

Good question. Trying to think back to 2008 and I honestly don't remember the timeline. You'd think the BC Athletic Department could get something out there, but that might be asking too much of them.

Banner raising is at 6:30. Unless Hokydad has the right info and the administration is lying again

I don't know where this rumor came from but there's been pulled pork at all the football games and I remember it being there last year.

I think ceremony starts around 6:45 game was delayed about 15 minutes last time.

What a game that was in 08-09.

Re: Boston College 2010-2011 In-Season Thread: Long Live The "Eagle" Empire!

yes, one of the best in my 4 years of season tickets vs Bucky 5-4?? (my fav was the fog out vs NoDak 0-0 after 2 and Gerbe putting a 3 spot i think with 2 SH vs BU in Dec2007 i think) ...........BTW, speaking of fog i am sure a lot of us realize how close we were to a 75 degree day friday, missed by a day...........could have been the first test to what ever it is they did in there that is supposed to eliminate the fog problem

maybe I am an old fart but some of my most memorable games were the Notre Dame tie in 1998, the 2001 comeback vs UNH with Marty Hughes, and the best ever, Brian Gionta's 5 goals in 12 minutes. Plus the thanksgiving come from behind win at Harvard the day after Thanksgiving 2000.

i'm an old one too and my sample size is much smaller.........but i do hear from people that those were the golden years as far as fan support inside conte is concerned

haha I would def buy tix in advanced for saturdays game. They sold out last year and this year the seating capacity has dropped a little from replacing benches with chairs (although only one side is completed so the actual capacity I'm sure hasn't dropped that much).

My seats are Section CC row 25 seats 5-7. Nice bright yellow MC jersey, shouldnt miss me :)

On the trophy case end, behind Section P, you will find pulled pork sandwiches and clam chowder.
Behind Section U are darn good monster size hot dogs... with sauerkraut if you like.

These are not the regular concession stands, but the mini stands on wheels. The food is very good at these stands, but bring a credit card. ;)
I don't do the regular concessions... the hot dogs are gross.

So let me get this straight..

The athletic department found it necessary to hire VANILLA ICE to do the IceJam but can't find the money to hire a legitimate radio station to play the games? (Or install air conditioning even)

Absolutely pathetic!

Can't remember when this happened but there was an electric crowd for the Hockey East championships held at Conte one year. Since 4 teams were involved there were fans from all sides there. It was perhaps the most dynamic crowd I've ever seen in Conte for a hockey game.
