As for Saponari, ew. Not welcome. I'll get over it the way I got over Ulf Samuelsson's son coming to BC, but ugh. Hated that guy at BU.

my first impressions were similar, honestly, but thats our hearts speaking, not our heads............and i said on the BU thread that i wondered how you could wear one of the jerseys then after 2 years the other? THAT i dont get but..................we'll see

I'd be interested in winning percentage rather than wins, since I think Michigan plays a lot more games than the Hockey East teams, maybe 5 more/year so....

also the ccha is far worse than hockey east as far as depth goes. sure you get some stinkers at 9 and 10 most years, but 1 through 8 are generally close games. whereas, in the ccha you are talking mich, msu, miami, ND.. then dog crap.

im sure he has some unfinished business with bu that he wants to get out of his system. i personally never saw this coming, but cant say it isn't welcome if we lose what we are expected to lose after this season. we will need all the depth we can get.

Last year BC played 38 games including the HE playoffs. UM played 43.

BU at BC game on 12/4 will be at 7:30 instead of 8:15 - still televised.

Do you park in the garage or in the streets?
I'll be there.

Free Parking on NU property: Off off Mass. Ave, take Columbus Ave. (If you're traveling from Cambridge, the first right after St. Botolp St.) About 1/8 of a mile down, turn right into the Northeastern buildings. Tell the guy at the guard shack you're going to the game. He'll direct you to the parking lot. Short walk over the bridge at the T tracks to Matthews.

At the risk (certainty, really... but screw you guys) of outing myself as the biggest loser on USCHO, I need to brag:

My girlfriend and I have a build-a-bear. I spent WEEKS sewing together a bear-sized hockey jersey using only the scraps from an old BC hockey jersey that the pep band was getting rid of. I just finished tonight.

The best part was my (non-BC grad and not really a hockey fan) girlfriend's initial reaction to the finished product: "Muuuuuse"

This is the same girl who calls all actual sieves "Huttons." I have to say, I love this girl. :p

Pile it on... I don't care, I feel wicked accomplished.

I have no idea whether or not Dennehy could coach at BC, but IMO, the job will be Cav's.

Saponari--so he had a drinking incident and was late for a bike ride? if that's as bad as it got and the coaches think he's matured...welcome aboard.

perhaps over a yummy Conte pulled-pork sandwich? They still sell those? I remember them being delicious going to games back in high school haha.
They had pulled pork sandwiches and clam chowder at the corner stand behind Section P last season, and for the past several years. I expect, hope, it will be back this season.

I think the picture of you in your car with your cell phone pretty much cemented it. This is really just confirmation.

Seriously though, your girlfriend calling sieves "huttons"...that's some funny ****.:D

Random question courtesy of a friend of mine (occasional USCHO poster Bullmoose)

Has anyone scored points both for and against BC at Conte? Maybe Jeremy Wilson? Ben Lovejoy?

wilson and lovejoy never did... though lovejoy did score points both for and against dartmouth at dartmouth.

as for bc, you have greg lauze with assists both for and against BC at BC.. also ryan and jimmy hayes with assists against BC and then goals/assists for BC.

I'm not sure Lovejoy ever got back to Conte.

As for Wilson, he only had 4 career points in D1. 3 with BC and 1 with MC. His pt with MC was at NU. His pts with BC came in 3 separate games, 2 home games vs. PC and 1 game at Yale.

Good Luck this year you guys.

May the games be close, hard fought, and clean.

And may we fans show one another a little respect throughout.

Cheers!

Even with this kid from BU in the mix, I still think BC may end up being under manned next year. They have two kids coming in, neither of whom project to be immediate impact players and could end up losing their top 5 forwards. Seems like they need at least 2 more forwards for next year if they don't want to risk another debacle like the 2001/2002 season.
