Bill Beaney's successor

Re: Bill Beaney's successor

Why wait so long to name the guy everyone assumed anyway???

Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I'm not impressed. Seems like kind of a comfortable lazy choice probably made by Beaney.
Sinclair's results as a coach just aren't that great.

Re: Bill Beaney's successor

HR offices in Higher Ed tend to move at a snail's pace.

Everything in Higher Ed moves at a snail's pace. If colleges ever tried to be a part of the corporate world they would surely fail and go bankrupt very quickly.

Re: Bill Beaney's successor

Congratulations to Neil on his return to Midd. I've had the chance to speak with him a few times over the years while he was at Skidmore, and was impressed by him.

Re: Bill Beaney's successor

Does anybody know what the chance is that Middlebury recruits might back out of coming having expected Beaney to be the coach? I know Early Decision candidates are binding. Conversely, could Neil Sinclair get some of the recruits slated for him at Skidmore to come to Middlebury if they could get by admissions? I know it is well after the deadline for fall.

Since the new coach was announced well after the deadlines for submitting applications and deposits to both Skidmore and Middlebury, I would think that there would be little opportunity for minds to change at either Skidmore or Middlebury.

Heard babson coach was offered this job and turned it down prior to Sinclair. any truth?
