Big 10 HC Rules

Re: Big 10 HC Rules

It's called the present, otherwise known as the place michigan fans wish they were not in.

After 22 years of making the NCAA Tournament and being a Top-5 team in it every year, I can handle one year of not being there. It's cute to watch all the nightcrawlers come out from under their rocks and pick on Michigan when they're down. Then they will all disappear mysteriously when Michigan is back to there normal winning ways next year. Kind of like what happened with football.

As you wrote in the Alaska thread:

Not that big of a deal this season. Michigan is 6-7-0 at home this year. So much for home ice advantage. Basketball being a national power has taken hockey's spot as the #2 sport on campus and you can tell this by the attendance.

We get it; we understand.

Re: Big 10 HC Rules

Personally this thread is nothing but trolling but numbers are fun to look at and everyone reads numbers differently, this is just info, I'm not trying to say one conference is better than the other just putting everything in one place because why not.

Re: Big 10 HC Rules

Serious, I'm going to be the first person to mention this?!

Michigan - 2 Natl Titles last 40 yrs
Minnesota - 5 Natl Titles last 40 yrs
Wisconsin - 6 Natl Titles last 40 yrs
Mich State - 2 Natl Titles last 40 yrs

for a total of - 15 Natl Titles last 40 yrs.

UND has 5 in the last 40 yrs
Denv has 2 in the last 40 yrs
UMD has 1 in the last 40 yrs

for a total of 8 in the last 40 yrs.

15 to 8. I like our chances.

At least in comparison to the NCHC. lol

In comparison to the Nacho. But 40 years is ancient history. Take the past 20:
HE: 8
B1G: 6
Nacho: 5
nWCHA: 1

Or the past 10:
HE: 4
B1G: 3
Nacho: 3

You westerners can get into a slap fight all you want, but those of us paying attention know which is the conference to beat these days.

I say you take BC out of all of those numbers and put them in their own category.

Re: Big 10 HC Rules

I think the real numbers that should be counted are the no-name schools who will lose a TON of profit and could possibly lose their program due to not having the big name schools come into their arenas and play.

You really think Michigan is going to EVER schedule alaska? Or go up to northern or ferris?
