I've read the same thing, but it comes down to selective counting. There were lots of people who voted in 2018 for the first time, who will likely vote in 2020, and are not counted in these "new registration" tallies.

No he isnt. Politico is just allowing a Trumper to feed them misinformation. In the very article they printed Kasich said he is retired and the closest source was "someone who is familiar with the transition". The article is a joke and the Berners who are upset are just ignorant.

Kasich might be a moderate compared to the modern version of the GOP but he is nowhere near the middle enough to be part of this administration. I am sure they could find someone else.

Trump is having issues in Ohio. He spread this hoping Progs in Ohio would abandon Biden because they don't like compromise. Politico posted it because they have been pushing the "Dems in DISSARAY!!!1!1!" since like April. Their writers even pushed the HB Laptop story and tried to make it a thing that the Biden's didn't comment on its stupidity.

There is no there there. Kasich, Flake or the Quibi lady wont be anywhere near the administration. Next week Politico will find some new way to push their narrative. I am sure their sources for this were the same ones telling them Harris was never going to be Veep ;-)

Denial is not just a river in Egypt. Red Rose Twitter (as Fade calls it) is almost entirely Bernouts. (or clickbaiters) They are the Susan Sarandans of the world. Last week they were making sure everyone knew that no one is doing more for the Biden campaign than Bernie Sanders. Not a joke, they literally spammed Twitter with it especially if anyone dared praise someone other than Bernie. They are smaller in number than Trumpers but they are as loud as a bunch of teens at a K-Pop show.

Look we all get you have a blind spot...we all kind of giggle when you shake your fist and say old man things. ;-) But with that said there is an entire sect of the movement (one I am a part of!0 that is completely devoid of any sort of critical thinking or strategy. These are the people who find Shaun King to be a good person to be like. Maybe 5 years ago he was now he is a clickbaiter who does nothing but divide. I got in a very nice fight with a few of them not too long ago because of this crap. They openly say if Trump won again they wouldnt care because it would lead to their revolution. They never learn...

It isn't completely off the rails to have someone from the other party in their cabinet. Ray LaHood was in Obama's cabinet as Secretary of Transportation. It certainly hasn't hurt Biden to have a fairly prominent republican endorse him, and it wouldn't be that far-fetched to think that Biden might find some way to repay that support.

Yeah, four years ago they didn’t care if Trump won because “people need to learn a lesson” and also because they thought it would lead to their revolution.

They never learn the most important lessons:

1. An incremental victory is still a victory.
2. The courts are pretty f-ing important.

And yes he is a moron. This isnt even really working well with anyone outside Red Rose Twitter because they see it for the BS it is. The ones who don't didnt read the article just the headline. (Red Rose Twitter) Even for Politico the story is bad. The Minnesota Daily (U of M paper) is better these days and I am not even sure it still exists.

The problem is that if Biden was going to float this he would have someone named in it. He hasnt been shy about wanting to unite...even said he would talk to the GOP at his Town Hall. If he was going to try and win GOP votes this way he would have gone to anyone but Politico...actually he would have waited for the debate and said it on live TV while his opponent was frothing at the mouth about evil Dems!!1!! He wouldnt send someone 3rd rate source to a hack publication and let them run with it especially after they traded on the Hunter Biden laptop story for clicks.

Politico has been wrong more often than Kepler talking about Twitter. If they couldn't get the Veep candidate right despite their "sources close to the Biden Campaign" they arent going to know who is up for worthless cabinet positions. Hell even the Progs they got to put in angry quotes were people no one has ever heard of because no one with any real clout buys this crap :-)

As they should...it does them no favors to assume they lost. The problem is unless Dems leave President blank again it (likely) wont be enough to offset the difference. Plus they are assuming they will get the same percentage of "undecideds" as they did against Hillary and most polling so far shows that to be unlikely. (not to mention just because they register R doesnt mean they will vote for Trump)

If the GOP really thought they were adding votes they wouldnt be out to suppress the vote. No reason to try and stop the vote counting in Pennsylvania if they think they have added enough new voters to offset the deficit that seems to exist there now.

So disappointed in a close friend. I've known she was probably going to vote for tRump. She has responded to some anti tRump posts, agreeing with them and I know she's stated what a jerk he is, etc. But her own posts...she's posted twice today. One was a post that mentioned something about Nancy Pelosi not wanting servicemen and women overseas or something. As soon as it was posted, there was something that posted with it that said it was false. So she deleted it. The second thing she posted was this post about this guy's "social experiment". One day he wore a tRump baseball hat. Went to stores, walked around outside...people smiled, gave him a thumbs up, etc. The next day he wore a Biden hat. People swore at him, said someone threw something at him. All in the name of doing a social experiment. I think she's just trying to make herself feel better about voting for tRump. It's really bothering. Yesterday she posted about the Hunter emails and someone responded with the info debunking the story but she said she feels there is some truth to it. She has said how she doesn't like him yet she never posts anything negative about him or Republicans. *sigh*

Well I mean we have had quite a few plagues this year...

BTW the ultimate proof that the Kasich story is BS...if Kasich took a position in the Biden Cabinet (which he has again said he has no interest in) that would mean he has zero chance to run for President in 2024. No version of the GOP, but especially not this version of the GOP, would ever nominate someone who was part of a Biden Administration. He would need to flip parties because he would be excommunicated.

But none of that matters because Politico is full of it.
