For those interested we've given BGSUHockey.com a pretty major facelift. We've got a really good Q&A up with Chris Bergeron too.

Poll has us 16th. Should be very motivating. I like that better than a top 10 ranking. Can't read your press clippings then simply show up.

"In Northwest Ohio, nothing is given. Everything is earned. You work for what you have." In Southwest Ohio, daddy gives you a BMW to drive around campus.

It's just refreshing to see us in the preseason conversation again. We could be in "Others receiving votes" and I think I'd be happy.... :p Well, maybe, anyway.

well done. navigating past stories is way easier, and always good stuff with content.

Justin Wells makes the NHL Central Scouting 2015 September Players to Watch list.
"C Rating -- Indicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate."

Article on Justin Wells: http://www.thesuburbanite.com/article/20150917/SPORTS/150919385

They didn't mention it in the article, but his dad is Jeff Wells who played at BG back in the 90s so we have a legacy player coming. :) (I thought it was odd that they mentioned that Jeff played college hockey but not where. They also didn't mention that Justin had verbally committed to BG back in August.)

I really enjoyed Kevin's piece. Good work all around by y'all.

GFM

Thank you for the kind words.

Part three of the Q&A is up, and in my opinion the best of the three. Bergeron opened up about retiring at BG, whether he'd take the Miami gig, and if he's thought about joining Blashill in the pro ranks.

That was a great piece enjoyed it. Bg holds a special place in my heart living only 20 minutes down the road. i am a buckeye first but the Falcons are always close to me.

Figured we'd see Baylis given it's a preseason game. Off on campus visits for the youngest and won't make the game tonight. Would love for someone to post a recap on how the team looked tonight.

It looked like an exhibition game. Lots of coaching to do before Friday night. Glad they found a way to win.

Re: BGSU Offseason Thread

I'm a little leery about how the defense is going to fare in the early going, any thoughts on how they looked?

I was surprised there were so many defensive lapses, but considering how well they played last year, I'm not concerned after one game. I think our dmen as a unit is one of the best in the nation at limiting scoring chances.
