All I can think of when I read this is the emotional speech he gave after they won their playoff series in 2003 to send them to St. Paul. "And tonight's number one star, one last time, say it with me everybody, number eighteen...... BJ ABEL!!!" Things like that are why I love the game.

Not the funniest name but there was a great story about Evan Wax of Yale.
When he used to play at the HFH, one of the band members on the stage back then used to put up a sign that said "Wax On" when he was on the ice and "Wax Off" when he went to the bench.
