Not a player, but ECAC ref Giles Threadgold was a crowd favorite in the late 60s and 1970s.
Fuhr didn't play with Goehring or either Panzer. My personal favorite all time is North Dakota and their Germanic heritage had at one time on their team:
Goerhing, Panzer, and Fuhrer
Some of my spellings may be off, but this wasn't the 1940's, more like the late 1990's

Stephen Baby of Cornell was always fun.
Depended upon the crowd, depended upon the day.
Stephen Baby of Cornell was always fun.
You grabbed mine. He played for, or against, the GB Gamblers in juniors. Our family went to one of there games and my son asked me if his last name was pernounced baby, I said I didn't know. A dad from behind us told my son if Stephan would have heard, him he would have punched him in the nose. My son was around 12 at the time. I don't know if it was his dad or not, but I'm sure it had to be tough growing up with that last name.
Bâby. Pronounced like bobby. I'm sure he was told several times that "nobody puts Bâby in the corner!" The Lynah faithful also liked to serenade him with "Hey, Bâby". Heeeey, heeey Bâby. I wanna know-oh-oh, will you kill someone?
Anyway. I always thought Grant Clitsome had a fun name. And Derek Punches.
