By far the toughest loss that I have seen the Falcons take in at least the past decade. But, this team was a class act, staying on the ice to salute some great albeit disappointed Falcon fans tonight. I will really miss this senior class. It seems like yesterday that I watched captain Alex Grieve get his first collegiate goal in Ann Arbor, a goal that stood up well into the third period against a perennially nationally ranked team. And, then last year, assistant captain Steve Weinstein led all Div 1 D-men in points for most of the season. And, thanks also to assistant captain Brett Switzer, who also topped 100 career points to join Grieve and assistant captain Weinstein in reaching that milestone. And, thanks to Matt Maher, Alex Kubiak, and Blake Dougherty who also showed strong senior leadership this past season. All of you will be missed by this Falcons fan.

Third periods are won or lost by coaching, by decisions made before the game puck is dropped. His record speaks for itself.

It's sad to see the thread die so abruptly. The pain of this season is going to take a while to subside. Congrats to Grieve and Weinstein on signing pro deals. Weinstein the first Bentley Falcon to make it to the AHL!

Over? Was this thread over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
Really cool about Steven Weinstein getting a tryout with the AHL Springfield Falcons, which is part of the Columbus Blue Jackets pipeline. And, Alex Grieve to Quad City in the ECHL .

Sad to report Weinstein has been released by Springfield after 3 games.
Another recruit committed to Bentley for next year. The incoming class looks pretty strong.
4 forwards, 3 defensemen, and a goalie to replace 2 defensemen, 3 forwards and a goalie.
