Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

Re: Bemidji State offseason, WCHA, BREC here we come!

Thanks for the compliments.

As for feedburner - I'm all too familiar with it. I don't know how long you've been listening to The Hockey Show, but it used to be available on iTunes. That was set up using feedburner. Unfortunately, Google bought them, and screwed with the url's of all the feeds. That invalidated the feedburner account and the iTunes account we had set-up. I spent way too much time on trying to solve the issue, and the end result was that The Hockey Show is no longer available on iTunes.

All that said, The Hockey Show's web presence should be dramatically different come October (fingers crossed). That's one of the reason's I haven't spent much time upgrading the current site...

Alabamians are many things, but we're pretty far from being Hoser.

GFM <-- not a Canadian, but roots for them in Blue and White.

Being a Hoser has nothing to do with being a Canadian. A Hoser refers back to the old days before they had Zambonies while playing pickup hockey at the local rink or pond. Losing team would have to hose the ice to get it ready for the next game. ;)

Didn't know UAH had lost to GVSU ...

Has anyone heard anything on when VENUWORKS will be sending out the bills for season ticket payments?? Will they be sending the tickets in the mail after that or how does that all work? Just curious, if anyone has any info that would be great!!!
I'm looking forward to a sweet building and new league! I'm getting excited for BEAVER HOCKEY!

Best wishes to the Kinne family. My perception of strokes is that it's something that happens to the elderly and not to someone young and in good shape. Does anyone know the severity, and to a lesser degree, if he'll be back on the ice?

Regarding tickets, I was told at my seat selection back in April, that we'd be billed in June . . . they still haven't sent them out. Generally you get billed and then receive a packet with tickets, parking pass, etc.

Hypertension can happen to anyone at most any age. If he was an undiagnosed hypertensive, I can see him having a mild stroke while working out [which was apparently where he had this one]. Same happened with Tedy Bruschi back in 2005. Also could be the same type of thing as Bruschi: an undiagnosed heart condition that creates small clots that get lodged in cerebral blood vessels.

Is the new rink ready yet? Will there be an anatomically correct Beaver statue anywhere? Is Beaver genitalia really pornographic to some people? So many questions.

Tech had a player have a stroke before a game at Mariucci a couple years ago. He was out for the entire season, and luckily was able to come back the next season after getting a medical redshirt. He was lucky and recovered and was able to play more hockey, hopefully the same is true in this case.

A couple of things from "the net" today.

It has been announced that the Oct. 2 Manitoba exhibition game has been cancelled due to the possibility of the BREC not being ready. Also, the series at North Dakota in February has been changed to a Saturday-Sunday series with both games being in the afternoon.

Former Beaver Brandon Marino has resigned with Quad City Mallards, who will be joining the CHL this year.

Getting to know Tyler Lehrke from the Rio Grande Valley website:

And my thoughts and prayers go out to Ben Kinne and his family. Right now, priority number one is getting healthy and hockey is just secondary.
