BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

It certainly can be experienced both ways. I've certainly seen some disastrous results of union activity. Of course, I've also seen the great results of union activity. But, it's a mixed bag, and not for the weak.
Not to get off track but, the biggest key for unions is having good people running it, people that know what's important to protect and what's not. As long as these guys have good people helping them I think they have a good shot.

But a good union is a great thing. It's why I make a good wage and don't have to pay premiums on my healthcare.

With a pre-emptive apology for any ignorance on this matter, is there some connection between Wittek and Anderson?

He tried recruiting him early at USU and obviously didn't stand a chance hen the big schools came calling. So, he's somewhat familiar with the kid, and you'd think he'd be an instant upgrade to Stave or McEvoy at this point. It's fairly common knowledge that Barry has some pull on how the football team is run, and he has already hit a home run with Russel and struck out on O'Brien. That offense is a million times better with a QB, especially without Abbrederis, Pederson, and sometimes Duckworth bailing out the QB and making plays. Just my $.02.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

All signs are pointing to Frank Ragnow (4-star OL out of Chanhassen, MN) going to Arkansas. It just makes no sense.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

The NCAA just stripped USC of 10 more scholarships because Pete Carroll won the Super Bowl.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Jeff Jones to Minnesota. We'll see if he plays, evidently he's dumb as a post.

It sounds as though that was a concern for some of the big schools recruiting him. Kid is an athlete though, and we know there are very "easy" majors for high impact athletes.:p

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Stanford ends up with:
- #1 OG
- #2 OT
- #4 DE
- #1 TE
- #5 QB
- #8 DE
- #4 FB
- #13 RB
- #10 and #11 OLB
- #11 and #15 S

Currently #12 recruiting class overall.

Which one of those did you end up picking?

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Good signing day for Arizona State, as they get their first top 20 recruiting class in a good while. Looks like they rank just below Stanford in the Pac.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

MSU gets 5-star DE Malik McDowell, against his parent's wishes.

Well, at least he says we have him. He verbally committed today but didn't send in the LOI even though they showed his dad sign it.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

USC makes some late recruiting moves and jumps to #10. Very impressive. Reports are that the NCAA will docket them one scholarship for each place they moved up.

Re: BCS 2013-14: This space for rent

Missouri's SEC Defensive Player of the Year announced he's gay publicly today. He'll likely be the first openly gay man in the NFL.
