BC/UML Home & Home

Re: BC/UML Home & Home

But he was plus one for weekend with an ast and light years ahead of 4 of the 6 bc amen

Gotta love earning a +1 in the goal that cut the deficit from 6-2 to 6-3!

I saw why he puts up points, he doesn't play a lick of D. I don't think a shift went by where he didn't jump deep into the offensive zone.

And lightyears ahead of Shea, Alber, & MacLeod? Brilliant.

Never change hokydope

Yes
Was on ice for zero goals and plus is a plus
You are in trouble with your 5 and 6 solid 3 and 4

Re: BC/UML Home & Home

Didn't see the game...did it happen again? More than once?

I'll let a non-hokydope respond but it was around 5 times falling down with no one around him

Hoky, agreed on 6th dman.

MacLeod has improved thus far. Shea has been good this year, Patch solid a little hit & miss.

Re: BC/UML Home & Home

Malcolm Lyles is horrible. Hokydad has to be sarcastic when he says the things he does against him.

Re: BC/UML Home & Home

Someone said Dryoff was the 6th D-man last night and he was listed as such in on the Hockey East website's game stat sheet. Has he ever played defense before and how did he look? He's bigger and older than Begert and at least has SOME playing time in college, so not a bad idea I guess...

Let's not talk foolish
Didn't fall down once unless in traffic and if he did another went down as well
Outside kreider not one player on ice as good a skater
He will play next level but probably up front

Wait a few years and see

Trying to follow along with your fourth grade level English, but am I to understand you feel Malcolm Lyles (outside of Chris Kreider) has the best skating skills on either team? Man, please tell your son (Malcolm Lyles) that he is a good player, but if his skating was that strong, he could have broken the lineup on Boston College and wouldn't have had to transfer to a bottom feeder like UML.

skating is a small part of the game, big but still only a percentage...

could have went to 15+/- other schools but hit it off with the ast coach at Lowell and wanted to be back East.

"small part...big but still only a percentage."

You really are an idiot. You do know some of the game, but when you get a bias, you can't see rationally. Malcolm Lyles was not wanted by 15+ schools. Sorry. You're wrong.

And you know that how? He was in fact talked to, through his coach in Vernon, Mark Ferner by 15+/- schools. Several in the west, including Denver, CC, W Mich, Mich Tech etc. Even alabama huntsville offered... He was also asked to go to close to 20 development camps, including Edmonton, Vancouver, Florida, Toronto etc. Choose FL because of home state connection. Did very well and will probably end up with them as a project forward after sr year, maybe sooner. if not europe, which is made for him.

Nothing to do with bias, bias had nothing to do with him making first team all star in bchl last year or top 2 in league as a dman, a league that has a ton of top players in hockey east
were they all biased as well last year? I didnt get a vote, i know that

Falling down: you couldn't have been at the game and thought that

I'm not even touching that Kreider point.

Makes sense for him to move up front, seems like he has no interest in playing D

Re: BC/UML Home & Home

Malcolm Lyles is a middle of the line defenseman. He is marginal talent. He's third defensive pairing for UML. What shows your incredible bias towards him is how you talked about only fillers go to the D Camps. Now you're acting like it's such a great accomplishment he got invited to the D camps.

I'm sure UND, Minnesota, Denver, Michigan etc were all knocking eachother down to get a guy who never played for BC and ultimately ended up at Lowell. Im sure there ECAC options, but let's not go crazy about this guy.

who cares...
third pairing is usually not on power play and last minute of game down by 1, but whatever

move on and see who is playing 5 or 6 years from now. 1 d camp as filler, yes, but having 20 offers is a slight level above that

If Lyles plays beyond college, it'll be in the ECHL and that's about it. I'm sure the Charleston Checkers would love a third pairing D-man who doesn't play defense from UMass Lowell. The kid is marginal at best, bordering on terrible.

it doesnt matter, he is a 20 year old playing college hockey and having fun
but since you mentioned it, both denver and und did invite for a visit. several ecac as well and atlantic hockey
