Tanner MacMaster flipped his commitment from BC to Quinnipiac according to Chris Heisenberg. He has signed LOI so BC had to let him out of it for a particular reason.

For those who have been following the twitterati, I think the reason is becoming apparent...

How about the reason for those who don't follow? Is he not having a good year? Is it to free up some money for another forward? A defenseman?

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

could be for wood but we want eichel!!! ;)

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Does this have to do with Wood?

Oh come on claver... don't be like Hokydad. What's the info?

No inside info whatsoever.

But connecting the dots of Wood decommitting and discussing BU/BC, then a player decommits from BC and thus $$ comes available...

Again no inside info, maybe purely coincidental.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Maybe Johnny G decided to stay another year if York could find him some more money...

That would be one of the coolest things ever. Not that there's any reason to believe that would happen. It would really be a cooler though if MacMaster decommits and then Wood signs with BU. They really do have an impressive class as it right now. Another top shelf recruit would only add to it.

Whatever happens to this scholarship money, I just want to beat the UNHers and be the first on this board to say that ____________ (insert elite recruit here) wanted to go to UNH but was denied admissions so he had to settle for BC.

Glad to have that settled.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

how about a message to super stevie greely...back off wood or we come after eichel :D:p

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Since MacMaster had to be let out of his LOI I wonder if one condition was he could not go to a Hockey East school.

Now Nick, you know we've never said he was denied admission. :p

Considering this appears to have been mutual and BC was probably more than ok with letting him out of the LOI, I doubt they would also put that restriction on him...but who knows.

Either way, I'm happy for him that he's going to a quality program and a good school. Hopefully this is one of those situations that work out best for everyone.

We lose MacLeod, Brown, Arnold and Hayes so Milano, Tuch and Sanford come in September 2014.

I guess Doherty takes MacLeod's spot, right ? Linell again on D next year ?? Does Jeke get to play ?

What year was Tanner entering college ?
