Hokey will tell you it doesn't matter who's in net, or on D for that matter.
This is 3 man team in his eyes, and they're soft as hell to boot!

i will say that we need to tighten up the D a bit, small step backward in that area this weekend. Need to have Jerry fix it. I've had this weekend coming up circled on the calendar for a while, it's going to be good. Best two teams in HE ,IMO

Congrats on the Dick Umile Trophy. Hope these two teams meet again... (at the Garden not at Conte)

thanks, we like all trophies but this one is just another one for Jerry to throw on top of the pile . The trophies we care about have not been awarded yet  and i did think the announcers toned it down a little last night.:)

Did that creampuff (donut) Billet get to play this weekend ? :D

yes, are you happy now? ;)

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Anyone else kind of hoping we lose one of these final few regular season games?

I know we have pulled off some crazy win streaks in the past, I just don't really want to be hearing about it all throughout the playoffs.

not hoping it but i know what you're saying. We talked about that in 2012 when that streak got to 10 or so and it kept on going. If we're gonna lose , make it this weekend. A tad unrealistic to think we run the table again but as long as we win our last game, I'm happy :)

They are not soft, the team is. one line team with a very good goalie

100% of success came from playing those 3 together.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

considering we've actually, ya know, watched this team play...absolutely not a soft team. but you're setting yourself up nicely where if they ever lose again this season you will come on here and say it's because they are soft(regardless of how the game actually plays out). doesn't it get old pretending to be a genius?

didn't realize bc was winless prior to putting the big line together. the rest of the team is so soft and terrible just keep that top line on the ice at all times...that would work out well.

go bc!!
hayes will be mvp of frozen four and play longest of any F on team after

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

not that you had any credibility to begin with but players like santini, mccoshen, matheson, brown, smith are not soft. you're just dead wrong on that.

not sure what nhl you've been following but there's been more and more smaller players break through. i won't argue that it's not an uphill battle...it is. post concussion, gerbe has rebounded nicely so far in carolina. i didn't think atkinson had the grit to make it at nhl level and he is doing just fine. will gaudreau be an nhl superstar? probably not but i'm not sure why this turned into a hayes/gaudreau comparison.

i see you've already deleted

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

Considering our 2nd line accounts for 69 points on the year so far.

Comparably, the Gophers 2nd line accounts for 60 points. Quinnipiac's 77 points. Union's 58. Ferris' 49.

That's college hockey's elite right there. If we are only a 1 line team, I wonder what are they?

Most importantly, who gives a **** about how the players would do in the NHL. I'm sure most of us here enjoy the NHL and have our favorite teams, but this is college hockey. How they would do in the NHL is pointless here. We are worried about winning NCAA games, not NHL games.

Once they graduate we can discuss how they would do in the NHL.

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

fwiw i'm not even proclaiming bc is better than lowell regardless of RS title. i know what that lowell team is capable. i would anticipate two hard fought, lower scoring games coming up. could see either of these teams winning at the garden.

my question would be, is there a 3rd team that will emerge down the stretch here? can nu be that team?

Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

looks like nu and maine meet this weekend at matthews. maine hasn't been good on the road, so i would think 3rd is nu's to lose.

You can discuss it all you want. It's just irrelevant to the discussion.

I also approve any topic that allows you to make yourself look like an idiot...but I guess that happens with pretty much any topic.

No, because every game is an independent event and the result of one has no bearing on the results of the others.

In fact, if they lose a game before the tournament, that probably means they aren't as good a team compared to if they do NOT lose a game before the tournament.
