Re: BC Hockey '13-'14: The Quest To Make Holy Cross Transitive Property National Cham

College Hockey News has BC as #4. Both claim to use the new criteria. Somebody is doing it wrong.
Somethings (such as how home/away weighting applies to ties) were not clearly defined and could be interpreted multiple ways, that could be the issue. Or there could be a bad formula somewhere. I'm not quite dead enough at work to back into both sites numbers.
I can see why you BU fans would want to contradict me, seeing as how CHN gives the Terriers a big time boost up to an impressive 36th rather than the correct 38th. ;)

Seriously though, CHN is doing it wrong. As I understand it they are using last year's RPI criteria and removing TUC. USCHO, Sioux Sports, and the other guys in the Pairwise thread (major *dap* to those guys who did a hell of a job putting together PWR calculations on their websites while everything sorted out) all have the same numbers using the new criteria.

Couple of things regarding Saturday:

Believe my tickets say general admission, anyone else? So I assume it'll be a free for all for seats?

Any suggestions on a bar that's walkable for beforehand?

If anyone is headed to Spats check out the deals they have on Restaurant.com

Good food and lots of beers to pick from.

One side of the arena is GA; the other side is reserved. If your ticket is GA, you'll be on the side closest to the front entrance (you'll figure it out once you're there; they have signs posted on each section).

As others have suggested, Spats is a good place for pre/postgame beers and food. There is a plethora of great bars with good deals in Providence, but Spats is one of the few within walking distance (assuming you mean within a 5-10 minute radius) of Meehan. You'll find that the area is much more pleasant than the area surrounding Schneider Arena, if you've ever been to a game there. Thayer Street has a ton of great takeout restaurants- I would suggest Mike's Calzones, Nice Slice Pizzeria, or Baja's Tex Mex Grille/Cheesesteaks (weird combo, but everything is delicious) if you want to grab a quick bite after the game.

I hope you enjoy your visit- but not too much, because that would mean a BC win. ;)

I saw a tweet from Brown that said there was only 300 tickets available for the game on Saturday!

Tonight's game is sold out through the BC ticket office but there are 2 tickets available at the BC Ticket Market Place, at face value, if anyone is interested.
