Watching the Inside the NBA crew on TNT right now talk about Kobe is a bit rough. Especially Shaq and Jerry West.

NBA Hall of Fame Committee has bypassed its selection process and selected Kobe as a 2020 first-ballot HOFer posthumously.

All-Star Game format is weird...

First 3 quarters, 12 minutes each, higher scoring team in each individual quarter wins a $100K bonus to a charity of their choice. If the quarter is a tie, the bonus rolls over to the next quarter.

4th quarter is untimed, with the "target score" ending that's bounced around a few times. Target score is set to leader's score plus 24 (for Kobe,) first to reach it wins an additional $200K for charity.

In Sacramento the New Orleans players have not left the locker room. It also was just stated that one of the referees had worked the Jazz game earlier this week and has also not come out of the locker room.

They were supposed to finish tonight's games, Pelicans-Kings being the final one (and live on ESPN).

Apparently one of the referees worked the Jazz game on Monday.

If the NBA & college hoops go into hiatus for an extended period, what does E$PN talk about?

It would be interesting to see how a sports network covers a month of no sports. Not saying it's a good thing, but interesting.
