ATTN: gawd awful hockey east teams--yes that is you uconn, maine, uhn, and NOTRE DAME

This will end up being Hockey East's best year since _______.

Really though, this is looking like a resurgence for the league in a major way. That could change. But that's how it looks to me.

Looks like a turnaround for HEA to me, too. On Friday night, 2-0-0 in OOC against two ranked teams. UNH now on hot seat hosting Dartmouth on Saturday night.

And on top of that, we might have a resurgence of "The Big Four." : eek :

Even if it only happened for one year I think a HE championship weekend featuring the return of the Big 4 would be pretty cool. I still have doubts that UNH will be able to keep this up but I think Maine is absolutely legit this year.

UNH wins and Maine loses OOC games on Saturday, so HEA 3-1-0 in OOC games for the week.

With six teams in top 16 and nine teams in top 25 PWR, HEA looking more legit this season. These OOC wins should help at season’s end for NCAA seedlings, so maybe HEA will have more than two teams this time around.

Fifteen HEA OOC games this past holiday weekend that broke in favor of HEA 9-5-1, if my counting is correct. Still six HEA teams in top 11 PWR.

edit: maybe should have written 9-5-2

After a week without any OOC games, HEA went 6-3-1 on 8-9 December. HEA still has six teams in NCAA’s if regular season ended today, with the six teams in the top 12 PWR.

This past holiday week, HEA teams were 11–4-0 in OOC games, and HEA still has six teams in the top 13 PWR. My guess is that one or two of these top six HEA teams may drop below the PWR cutoff for the NCAA’s through intra-HEA competition if some of the bottom five teams get it together during the second half.

UConn and Vermont will steal some games from the top teams.

Thanks to the Iggles, along with mookie’s and Snively’s teams flipping the script on night 2, HEA teams go 3-2-0 in OOC games on October 25th-26th weekend.
