Aside from the last 5 minutes of the first, RIT and RMU were pretty even and I dare say that RIT had the better part of it for good chunks. I'm sure they will make Niagara earn any points they may get.

As Komey said above, listening to the game, it sounds like RIT had a rough few minutes in the first. As Coach Wayne Wilson said in the post-game, RIT wasn't playing their best hockey probably in part because RIT has already clinched; he thinks that if we played RMU this well when it didn't really matter for us but they have their backs against the wall fighting for the bye, we'll have no trouble with them in the tournament.

That said, Niagara needs all the help they can get. I had them picked to be giving RIT a good run. No sooner was that said than they went 0-4-1 in the next 5. Then they dropped even more crucial points to Canisius.

You beat RMU in OT and with a last min goal in the 2 other games this season. I'm not sure why anyone would think that RIT would have no problem with RMU in the tourney

First win against RMU was our first real win of the season, and we had a shaky start - lost a lot of players from last year; RMU was off to their best start ever. Still pulled it out.

Second win wasn't in overtime. Score should have been 4-2, as from my vantage point one of the RMU goals was off a high stick. Our power play has since improved; that night, it was 0-5, with which we should have really buried RMU. That was also in Consol, and on some level I think the barn does make a difference. Playing there must be intimidating on some level, though perhaps for RMU as well.


All in all, I guess I wouldn't say no trouble/no problem. It's single elimination, and the AHA has showed us all season that it can be any given team on any given night. But if the Tigers come out and play their game, I'm not worried about it, though I'm far from guaranteeing a win.
