Corrections welcome, as always.

Last Year Results continues to show that history does repeat itself...at least to a point.

RIT is now 11 points ahead of Sacred Heart. RIT has 5 games left, after the last minute loss to Niagara last night, and can get a possible remaining 15 points. However, to sew up 1st place they only need to get 10 points. So, 3 wins and a game going into overtime gets them there.

Every other team is still vulnerable to fall multiple places, however, that seems unlikely.

Air Force continues to throw the overall scoring way out of whack. With 8 games left to play, could get to as high as 42 points, and that would be good enough for 2nd place, today. Air Force has managed to triple their wins since mid-January and now enjoy 6 wins.

I put this chart together because I thought I noticed something...

I was comparing the number of wins from mid-January to now and

the number of losses from mid-January to now, of each team

to see if there were any major differentials...who was really driving harder at the end of the year... [TABLE="class: MsoTableGrid"]

It looks like the top 3 teams have kind of leveled off or even lost a step or two.

Army, Holy Cross, Canisius and Air Force gained some ground, but not enough to make much difference in the standings...

But Mercyhurst...they were in that sweet spot, in the middle of the pack, where everyone is so close, that if your winning/losing differential even wavers a little, you drop far, as they have gone from 4th to 7th in a month.

Bentley has the same winning/losing differential, but being in 9th place it pretty much keeps you in ninth place.

RIT losses to Holy Cross, Canisius, and Niagara over 3 of their last 4 games will probably hurt them in the national standings conversation, but it won't make much difference in Atlantic Hockey. Even if they lost everything to the rest of the year I don't think they could end up lower than 3rd.

Overall, Atlantic Hockey seems fairly even in the last 6 to 7 games played. No one is running away with the last few weeks. Even though RIT pretty much has it wrapped up, they aren't proving that right now.

#8 Canisius and #5 Niagara both beat #1 RIT in the span of 5 days with #6 Holy Cross beating them the week before.

#10 Air Force has won 4 of their last 7, including beating #5 Niagara and #4 Army.

Even with Mercyhurst's big drop from 4th place to 7th place, one of their wins was a decisive victory against #3 AIC 4 -1.

#2 Sacred Heart lost games to #3 AIC and #4 Army, both by a score of 4 - 1 on February 4th and February 7th.

The last 3 weeks have shown Atlantic Hockey has a lot of parity.

Last night’s RIT/Niagara game was really exciting. Wayne had quite the comeback only to blow it with seconds left.

Would not Air Force be -2 losses and +2 differential?

You can see the parity showing up in the scoring leaders, as well. Three teams pretty much owned the top 10 of scoring most of the year, but no longer. Now 6 teams are on the list with Mercyhurst's Steven Agriogianis arriving and further demonstrating that assists make all the difference. 14 assists make up his total of 18 points.

But Carter Wilkie of RIT rules the roost right now. He matches the 14 assists and adds 9 goals to it to give him his league leading 23 points.

The goal leaders are also including many more teams with 6 teams represented.

Holy Cross, although in 6th place, they have Jack Ricketts in the lead with 12 goals.

Got curious about percentage of goals scored by goal scoring leaders for each team. Here is what I came up with:

Where did you watch the game at?
FloSports. As a BG guy I subscribe to the yearly package which gets me the AH games as well. With Wayne’s connection to BG a lot of us have an interest in RIT. I also caught Bentley/AIC earlier in the week. These weeknight games are great…reminds me of MACtion.

Speaking of Bentley and the goal scoring leader percentages, of Bentley’s 69 goals scored in their 29 games overall, one player has seven goals (10.1%), three players have six goals each (8.1%), and four players have five goals each (7.2%). So, good balance, if not a lot of total goals scored.

We have one weekend left...two games to play for each team...and the standings are relatively close...

TalonsUpPuckDown takes the lead, for the first time this year, I believe.

Snively also moves up.

Earl_Leatherland finally moves out of first place, after holding it for much of the year. (isn't that always the way?)

Last year results takes the lead, for non-live entries.

TalonsUpPuckDown takes the lead, for the first time this year, I believe.

Snively also moves up.

Earl_Leatherland finally moves out of first place, after holding it for much of the year. (isn't that always the way?)
How in the hell did that happen?? I think it’s the first time in my short history playing that I’ve held the pole position.
