Corrections welcome, as always.
Last Year Results has made a jump. They were only beating the Coaches Poll, previously, and now they have taken a place ahead of Snively65 and TalonsUpPuckDown.
Air Force at position 10 is giving everyone 49 points, except Last Year Results which predicts Air Force to be in 6th position. Also, Holy Cross is way overperforming. Everyone is gaining 36 points due to them being out of position by 6 places, ending up this week in 4th rather than the predicted 10th. Holy Cross and Air Force are almost, exactly, flip flopped from their predicted positioning.
There is still more than a third of the season to play, but RIT has a significant lead on the field with 13 wins, 2 losses, and 1 tie for a total of 40 points. With 16 games down and 10 to go, RIT would have to make some significant missteps and stumbles, but, we all know that it can happen.
When looking back through the schedule, Holy Cross is not necessarily playing way above their heads, but the rest of the field seems to be dragging just a little bit more. RIT, Sacred Heart, and AIC are the only teams with winning records with teams 4 through 10 at .500 or below. Atlantic Hockey and Big 10 hockey are the only Division 1 hockey leagues have less than half of their teams above .500. All the wins in Atlantic Hockey are concentrated in the first 3 teams, with the last 7 trading wins and losses back and forth.
