Arizona State Moving To D1

Re: Arizona State Moving To D1

One thing that seems a bit disturbing to me... not a single mention of the hockey program on r/asu.

http://www.reddit.com/r/ASU/

With 3,200 users you'd think at least someone would have shared the article. Maybe we're making this out to be a bigger deal than ASU is.

Agreed. I don't understand this idea that recruiting is easy

Disagree, recruiting today is totally over thought. Outside of the top 1% player that every team would like to get, I just don't believe that there is much skill involved in assembling the rest of the roster. After Eichel, BU could have the exact same players as Merrimack and Niagara and have the same results.

I couldn't disagree more.

I'm with you, the bottom of the roster is almost as important as the top. Finding players willing to take less scholarship $ that fit a role and work hard to push the rest of the team. Getting those big names like Eichel can certainly change things but without finding a 3rd line that can produce, etc...you're not going to get very far.

That's my point. You really think it is hard to find the players (excluding the Eichels), that can produce, take less $$ and fill a role. Not difficult at all, there are Hundreds that can fill that bill and it certainly doesn't take any special talents to find them.

It must take some skill cause there are dozens of crappy teams with players on the 3rd and 4th line not producing.

Lolwot?

Just stop.

In the (not so) proud tradition of people being wrong around here, you may be the wrongest poster who's ever wronged.

So, as the gnomes would say:
1. Try to get Jack Eichel
2. ???
3. Profits!

You would think Jan Brady U would have more than just participation banners hung up in the concrete center if this were the case.

Food for thought I guess.
