There's no way the WCHA will be able to sluff off the AK schools. There's not another conference in the nation foolish enough to take them. Sorry, Tech, you're stuck with that road trip.Add in Colorado - Boulder and another western school and Denver could blow up another conference.
Colorado College
University of Denver
Arizona State University
University of Colorado - Boulder
Air Force Academy
University of Alaska - Anchorage
University of Alaska - Fairbanks
TBD
Ok fair enough. I probably should have clarified my point better. Where I had heard it was from individuals that weren't associated with this forum (or at least as far I know they aren't on here.)
I know a few tier 3 Junior A players that went out to AZ for a visit after being "recruited" by ASU's ACHA team. They told me that the team gets more attendence than many NCAA D1 programs......any excuse to sit in an air conditioned building I guess....apparently, they have some very good players as well.....but not all of them would be able to jump through all the NCAA hoops.

I have a feeling they will be a good team very fast. They will pile up the recruits so fast, they won't need to try to promote club players.
Huh, would you rather spend the winter in North Dakota/Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan, or would you rather play hockey in a place that is beatiful, awesome campus, party school, hot coeds.
20 conference games (2H 2A) + 14(16/18) out of conference scheduleYou only need 6 teams, could start off with:
Denver
CC
Arizona State
Air force
Alaska Anchorage
Alaska Fairbanks
Then go from there...
