Dr. Mrs. got 4 days notice of a work trip last night to... beautiful Natchez, Mississippi. DHS is repurposing the county lockup for detention of immigrants and Dr. Mrs. and her team are headed down there not so much to deter them from the inevitable civil rights and civil liberties violations as to document them. She will be dealing with, in order of Nazi Adjacency Score:
50% LEO (remember, this is rural Mississippi)
75% ICE
99% CBP
She is already sharpening her knives. The last time these poor morons got a spot visit it was from some Dumpy flunky who I'm sure brought them all t-shirts from the Eagles Nest (either one or both) so Dr. Mrs. is gonna be an awful cold shower.
Assuming I ever see her again, she is scheduled to be there for just the week. So, ya know, if anything happens to her, I expect you'll see me on the news taking out the garbage.

Where I work, I get to count the number of "Stand For The Flag" and other intentionally offensive shirts I see each week. The Blessed Unrest says "get out ASAP."

I try not to notice or engage customers too much at work.
However, it's impossible to NOT notice shirts like:
"I identify as Straight/Conservative/Christian... how may I offend you today?"
"FAKE NEWS with logos of CNN, HuffPo, CBS, and other left-leaning news organizations underneath"
"I'm Just A Regular Mom Trying Not To Raise A Liberal Son"
Variations on "Stand For The Flag, Kneel For The Cross"
"Trump WON"
And so many other intentionally provocative and mean-spirited shirts.
This is part of why I want out of there.
However, it's impossible to NOT notice shirts like:

I love my boss lecturing our area about a drop in productivity.
Can it be we're burned out?
Can it be we're tired of working 6-7 days in a row with no adequate time to recharge?
Can it be we have various body parts that ache and cause pain?
Can it be our mental health is suffering right now?
Can it be some of us just aren't sleeping well and our department averages maybe 3 hours of sleep a night per person?
Can it be her total lack of empathy and overwhelming emphasis on stats and where we rate in the market?
Can it be several of us mentally checked out weeks ago and have told each other "as soon as something better comes, we're leaving?"
Can it be some of us are older and don't move as well as we used to?
Can it be that some days are just awful and we need 3 pints of Ben & Jerry's to cope?
Nah. We just "don't want it enough. You just gotta try harder."
