He did a nice job and Alec and Steve pulled off the duo monologue better than I thought they would have.

Best Animated film felt kind of anti-climatic. I mean how can Up be in best picture if it didn't win best in its own group?

To the surprise of no one - Up wins Best Animated Feature after a loooong piece about the nominated movies. Sooo, winners get 45 seconds, if that, to speak, but they can add time to the show with stuff like that?
Miley and Amanda Seyfried out to present the nominees for Best Song. No performances this year. One of their time saving moments.
And the Oscar goes to the song from Crazy Heart.

Robert Downey Jr and Tina Fey out to present Best Original Screenplay. Funny banter. They're both good at this stuff.
Mark Boal who wrote The Hurt Locker wins. This guy guy needs a hair stylist. And he is probably the only one that I'm OK with making some sort of political statement about the war.

Zoe Saldana and Carey Mulligan to do.......what??? Are they going to present an award? What is this piece with all the directors that won Oscars for an Animated Short Film talking about how great Animated Short Films are? NO NEED!!!!!! Why couldn;t they just come out to present. We're already over an hour in and this is only the 5th award. They're giving out 24. We could be here till well after midnight.
