And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

Well, isn't the idea of Bane that he has a dial on him that he can increase the amount of Vemon he gets so that he can in effect, borrowing from the Marvel Universe, Hulk Up???

Right, and Barry Bonds turned it to 11 in what? 1992?

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

No...Bonds was a twig in 1992 it would not have been until at earliest 1996 that he started juicing.

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

Not exactly Dark Knight news though some is contained within: http://spinoff.comicbookresources.c...-new-justice-league-plans-to-reinvent-batman/

So now the WB is going to do the Justice League (for 2013) and apparently even though they will reinvent Batman after the Dark Knight Rises (probably so they can have a Batman in Justice League since Bale said he was not going to do it) Nolan and his wife will be staying on still involved only as producers. (which should make it flow better overall I would hope) One has to wonder if then with Nolan staying involved with Batman and his involvement with Superman if now Nolan wont become the head of the DC Movie Universe.

WB has stated they want the DC movies to take the place of the Harry Potter movies as the summer tentpole movies...it seems for once they werent BSing. If they can keep Nolan involved who knows what the future holds

If they're going to do Justice League then they need to do a better job on their character films. Captain America was kind of "blaah" but it was still way better than Green Lantern by a long shot.

Let the nerdy/picky over-analyzing begin!

He's using a cane, Bane broke the Bat!

That's all I got.

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

Mayor Daley's one big screw up in his final year as mayor was not having the third film in Chicago. Chicago IS Gotham with it's dirty alleys everywhere, Lower Wacker Drive, lower any loop streets, and gritty southside.

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

This is bittersweet for me. I can't wait to see this movie but it also means the end of the Bale/Nolan series. Easily better than all of the others combined.

But the movie takes place 8 years after the last in a cleaned up Gotham.

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

I'm still trying to find a bootleg of the six minute prologue shown before the IMAX Mission Impossible screenings. What was in that?

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

Been there, seen that.

It involves a mid-air plane hijacking/crash to rescue Bane (who purposely got caught to find out what was known about him) and some doctor who knows some of Bane's secrets.

That was a pretty awesome scene!

Re: And the new villain(s) for The Dark Knight Rises are...

So torn. I want to know a crapload, but I don't want to see full scenes, plot points, etc. Same as Dark Knight. I wish I never saw the first few minutes on the previews/leaks. Took away the drama of the Joker unveiling himself in the bank scene. I'm really trying to stay to the TV trailers (when they happen) and official theatrical trailers....
