" Fast Forward taken, what does that mean?" Should we wait. Attention Team Tattoo when they say you are on the Amazing Race it might behoove you to actually read the rules so you wouldn't be in doubt. I also love how the guy made such a big deal out of that he was an expert biker, dirt biker, then got left in the dust. Unfortunately they are around for at least another week. Luckily the teams I like, the Father/Son and the doctors are safely in front. I would probably like the QVC team as well because I always like the teams that have fun but the blonde is just too perky.:eek:

Heh, no kidding. Kinda disappointed the volleyball girls got eliminated, but I figured they wouldn't last because they haven't been getting the face time thus far. Russia next week could be fun.

I didn't even remember the volleyball girls were in the show, to be honest. This leg was some of the most beautiful land I've ever seen.

I have always wanted to visit Norway and this leg certainly helped.

The tattoo people are truly idiots. If the fast forward were available to everyone, wouldn't everyone do it? I'm shocked they are still around. Although she surprised me with her ability to climb that rope.

The volleyball girls were disappointing. I thought they would be good since they are in such great shape.

A classical music challenge in Eastern Europe? Again? I am not a fan of the show when they visit Europe. It's usually boring. The show is starting to get repetitive with an India leg every year, and Eastern Europe every year too. The world is a big place. How about Manila? Lima? Tegucigalpa? Jakarta? Addis? Minsk? Well, maybe not Minsk, but Kiev? They are at their best when they are riding ferries across the Mediterranean, in the Omani desert, traditional Kazakh costumes, or moving coconuts in the Seychelles.

Agreed on the casting. The only ones showing any personality this season are the doctors and the home shopping hosts. There is also the jerk boyfriend, whatever his name is, but they'll be gone soon. The father/daughter team is surprisingly strong and may be there at the end...

Pretty tough detours this week. I think a lot of the teams probably spent quite a bit more time than they should have on the classical music challenge before going to the film challenge which was a little more random. Team Tattoo finishes last but unfortunately is not eliminated. They looked to be well behind the other teams but I am sure there will be a catch up next week.

They had a great idea at the end to listen to them one at a time. That was my thought from the start. Couldn't have been too hard. PLUS, you could take the sheet music back to the gramophone after each one to confirm (if you can read music that is).


I've always wanted to audition for the show...who knows.

I would've owned that classical music challenge. I can't believe more people didn't do the pieces one at a time.

I figured when Team Tattoo was so far behind that this wasn't going to be an elimination challenge. Oh well. Now we just need to get rid of Chad and Stephanie. I can't stand that guy. I wonder if they'll still be together after the show.

Father and son getting 2 penalties for not following directions QVC hosts one penalty. Team Tattoo has a speed bump it will be interesting to see who gets eliminated this week. Tough detour to start off the leg.

Stephanie and meathead took the taxi as well looks like they are in the biggest trouble since they are in last.

Father and Son eliminated due to breaking the rules. Read the Clues ! Stephanie and Meathead still in it because they only broke the rules once not twice. Why didn't Team Tattoo have to do a speed bump? They finished last, last week so they should have had to do a speed bump. the circus was closed so everybody was together at the start of this leg so they basically didn't get penalized at all for finishing last. They didn't even have to give up their money.

Found it interesting that so many teams left their luggage with the taxi driver while they ran around. I wouldn't trust a taxi driver to be there with my luggage when I came back.

Well thankfully the Doctors did not get eliminated this week. Rooting for them and the QVC hosts to win it. Two come togethers this week but the last two teams seemed way behind the first 4. Amazing race must have some kind of deal with Oman this is the 2cd or 3rd time they have been here.

I was really hoping that Chad & Stephanie would get eliminated and then Stephanie would toss the ring in Chad's face (although her comment re: the other couple team as though they were doing something wrong by trying to beat her team made me wonder if maybe being with a huge jerk had covered up her obnoxiousness). Basically just want anyone but those 2 to win. I can't remember them ever spending much time on the other couple (though I have missed at least 1 episode) and the Doctors and QVCers haven't been negative at others. Don't like tattoo guy's temper, but he seems to have controlled it more and she's likeable. I guess I'd prefer the Doctors to see all-female team win and them over the QVCers because I thought the kiss count was a bit ick (though it seems to have been dropped).

Bummed the father/daughter are eliminated, I liked them both. Go QVC hosts!

Reality TV World.com said that although Team Tattoo was saved by a nonelimination leg, they didn't have to perform a Speed Bump because of production problems - sounds like the advance team couldn't get there in time. Interesting stuff and a reminder that Amazing Race is actually close to reality (as opposed to other reality TV). Also van Munster said that doing AR in HD is a big logistical problem because of the battery/power requirements for HD equipment, and its weight and fragility, have contributed to them not doing HD yet, although they will take the plunge in the spring's version.

Reality TV World also interviewed Gary & Mallory. They said that their map brought them to the mountain, but to the wrong side of it from the access road. The same issue happened to the doctors, since they had the same map. The said that nine hours was the right estimate for how far out of the way they were, since they were on the wrong side of a massive mountain. They went through two tanks of gas.

As for the Race itself, this year has felt kind of blah, although the last few weeks have been pretty interesting. Oman is a really interesting backdrop, and i was impressed at the friendliness of the locals. I usually am a fan of teams that seem to be having a blast, so I am rooting for the QVC team, although I would be OK with the doctors.

Same reason I liked having Gary and Mallory around. They looked happier coming into the mat in last than any of the teams in front of them.

I saw elsewhere a claim that they were not given a speed bump because they were erroneously held up on the music thing—the claim is that they were not given a green light even though they actually did have the right sheets in the right order.

I didn't even notice that the doctors wound up the same out-of-the-way as Gary and Mallory. Was that just me not paying attention, or did the editing focus more on G&M and less on N&K?

Stephanie and Meathead are out. I was very surprised that with the double U-Turn that this was an elimination leg. I guess Bangladesh is taking the place of India this year. I was surprised Jill and Thomas used the U-Turn when they were so far ahead you never know when it may come back to haunt them. Interesting roadblocks and detours. I found it interesting that Jill and Stephanie did the rickshaw challenge. I wonder if the men had used up all their roadblocks I guess with Jill they figured they were so far ahead they couldn't get eliminated.
