The Amazing Race returns for another season tonight. This seasons contestants.

Nat & Kat Doctors / Friends
Jill & Thomas Dating

Michael & Kevin Father / Son

New this season is the Express Pass which iif what I read is correct allows a team to skip a challenge. Does this mean the Fast Forward will be eliminated?

Looking forward to this season. Watched some of the "Meet the teams" videos earlier today, and Andie/Jenna have only very recently met each other, and the video said that the starting line will only be their 3rd time seeing each other. Andie put Jenna up for adoption as a result of an unplanned pregnancy at age 22.

After a long delay we're underway. None of them seem strong. Note to teams. Look for the amazing race flags!

I am really surprised that only a couple of teams had problems. I drive a stick and almost everybody that rides with me has no idea how to drive a stick shift.

That watermelon in the kisser must have hurt. :eek:

None of these teams seem particularly strong but that seems to have been the trend the past few years.

I guess the express pass replaces the prizes given to the stage winners.

I guess thats true. Especially with the stick being on the opposite side too.

Ya, she probably got a concussion.

I think the express pass is only the first stage, but who knows.

I cannot find anything more about the express pass. There will be prizes but the express pass was the prize for the first leg. I couldn't find if this is the only express pass for the race or if used another one will be given out. It wasn't explained very well.

The poor girl with the watermelon in the face. Ouch, and her teammate wanted her to run to Phil. Atleast they could laugh about it.

Was it even possible for the last place team to stay afloat in that boat?

You would assume that the show did some kind of testing before the show so that all teams would be able to do the challenge but it certainly would have been a lot harder for teams with bigger competitors.

Team Princeton continues the long tradition of annoying Ivy representatives. The casting director must be from Columbia... its alums are never used. ;)

The trick for the small boat was place your net weight as close to the center as possible by hunkering down and clearing the edge. Everybody who failed was balancing on the rim. Having two ropes at arms' length was a clever red herring, since the correct method was hand-over-hand centered under just one line.

I like the father-son and reunited mother-daughter teams and would encourage the blond to obtain a restraining order.

Exactly.

I think I would have a lot of fun watching the race with you.

My parents were at my house Sunday so we watched together. They did not get my "Have fun storming the castle!" reference and I had to explain it to them. :o

Pretty uneventful race tonight looks like Team Tattoo is around for another week. It seemed as if bad or good cab driver played a bigger part in getting eliminated rather than the roadblock or detour.

I really haven't got a favorite team yet. I like the father and son but other than Team Tattoo who I basically don't like because they are so dumb I don't really have a team I dislike.

I love that the race started in Gloucester. Right down the road from me...

I actually kind of like the Shopping Hosts. They are bubbly. Same with the Father/Daughter team.

Reality TV casting is pretty weak this year. Survivor sucks, it's sad when your favorite one on a tribe is Jimmy Johnson. And it kills me to say that. It would have been much better if, when he was voted out, someone said "I'm a Giants fan." :D This casting is kind of weak, my favorite team thus far are the Father-Daughter and Asian guy-Dad. Other than that, Meh. BTW, I read last night that ABC is going to do a spinoff a Dancing With The Stars and have celebrities pair up with pro figure skaters and call it "Skating With The Stars." No, seriously.

I'd watch that for the crashes. :D

I don't really have any qualms with this season's AR cast. It's the rather weak and boring challenges so far. Hopefully, it turns around this week. The promo looks promising with someone going off-course on some sort of snow machine, but we shall see.

Team Glee goes from 1st to worst and is eliminated. Okay leg loved the wipeouts on the sledding roadblock. Can't believe only 5 teams tried for a better flight you have time to kill at the airportt and you don't bother to hunt for other options? Dumb. Glad to see dad and son catch up. Team Tattoo around for another week.

We may have the first all-women champions this year. I disliked the doctors at first but I think they may be the physically strongest team. Chad better hold on to Stephani because since this has aired he will never get another woman to date him.

I will be rooting for the father-son team for the rest of the way.
