Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

Anybody else get up queasy, antsy, irritable today?

Under normal circumstances, I'd be excited about this #2 UND vs #3 DU but today, I don't feel good about this weekend at all.

Too many injuries on both teams, DU coming rusty off a bye week, not enough DU students on campus due to finals, too many Sioux fans living in Denver, less than the usual buzz on this....

I think it was just that burrito you ate last night.

This UND team will give DU a couple of good games, but this is not a powerhouse UND team you will see at Magness tonight. I expect a couple of very close, toughly fought games, but right now I'd be happy with a split.

I feel the same way. I have a feeling that this could be an ugly weekend for the Sioux...I wouldn't be surprised if DU walks away with 4 points.

I'd be very happy with a split.

Chevy is playing, UND will be lucky to get a split.

I get up that way every morning. But I'm feeling a bit more optimistic than
earlier in the week and think a split is definitely possible.

Hey, that may be the break we were looking for. Against UND Murray is 0-1 but has a .902 save % and 4.05 gaa. Chevy is 0-1-1 with a .804 save % and 5.05 gaa. :p

True. But since then, the Chevy's had a tune up (and an accident), and the Murray's sprung some serious leaks....

We have no idea what kind of DU goaltending we'll see this weekend in Denver.

That makes both Makowski and Zucker as signed recruits for next season and only Nick Shore still to sign. I would guess Nick will sign in the spring if he isn't signing in the early signing period. One scholie still available for next season if no one leaves early.

If no one leaves early? You guys are going to get dismantled after this year. ;)

You guys didn't do a Cash For Clunkers deal last summer, did you?

Getting pretty excited for the game tonight. I haven't been since the Friday Vermont game. I am definitely nervous though. Nothing I hate more than losing to the Sioux at home.

Todd and Kent, where are we pregaming?

Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

Now this update from crazyland, your reporter Old Pio:

I just went to the UAA results thread (where they are celebrating another Kane LaFructose crushing hip check) and challenged Suze to apologize to Patrick Wiercioch. You know, for repeatedly saying Patrick wasn't hurt? Her response? She has nothing to apologize for and she didn't call Patrick a liar.

It's obvious logic is not her long suit. Let's see, she stated unoquivically that Gwoz was lying about Patrick's injury that, in fact, "he wasn't injured." So if Patrick said he WAS injured, that would make him a liar, no? And the proof, if any were needed, was that he didn't play in last night's game. Maybe Gwoz held the kid out just to make her look bad. I expressed the view that nobody could be grandiose enough to think that..

I have no idea where this mean-spirited, mendacious, ignorant, stupid, paranoid woman got her reputation for being "one of the good guys." And maybe this incident isn't typical. But she has exposed herself here as more than just one taco short of a combo plate.

This is Old Pio reporting from crazyland.

I've been thinking about this ever since you posted this question

Now I'm wondering how many of them do read this?,
How seriously do they take it?
Do they ever take any of the abundance of advise we give them?
Do they just laugh when they read the posts?
Are they laughing at me right now?
Do they have their favorite posters?
Do they realize without them we would have no life?

The one player that I have ever spoken to about this board, upon my mentioning something I had read, chuckled and said something about not believing too much that you read on the board.
