Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

The performance of Colborne and Chevy are the whole DU team in microcosm this season. Both players have loads of talent, and tend to play their best hockey in the biggest games, just as the team has. Both can step up and take over a game when they want to, just like the rest of the team.

Both played have also been hurt, and the injuries have hurt the DU team. Both players has also had some games where they haven't played up to their capabilities, primarily against teams with lesser talent, just as the team has sometimes struggled with work ethic agasinst lesser teams.

This weekend, Joe and Chevy are the guys to watch. If both play well, I think DU will have a great shot at success. Should they struggle, so will DU.

You also have to look to Rakh and Ruegs. As seniors and team leaders they need to set the tone. Motivation--the seniors need to capture the Gold Pan. The rest of the team needs to help them win it.

OK, I'm just gonna throw this out there now just in case someone can help. As I said last week, I'm coming to Denver for the Minn series. A friend of mine in Denver and a DU fan has started looking for tickets, but believe it or not the game only has a few single seat tickets left. We just need 2 seats for Saturday the 13th. Any ideas?

I agree and both were rock solid tonight. Rhett played the most focused I've ever seen him on the kill. CC PP was shut down hard in the first and second. D played a very smart road game tonight.

Got my picture taken in front of the 57 trophy. We had a blast with the linesmen wearing 57 on his jersey--can't remember his name. He'll be working the lines tomorrow too.

Want another DU win tonight.
Want at least 2 points for Ruegs tonight so he joins the Century Club along with Rakhshani.
Want Maiani to start getting some goals.
Want Colborne to have a better game.
Want Chevy to stand tall again.
Want the PK to stop cc's pp.
Want DU's Power play to score 50% of the time.
Want DU's defense to be rock solid.

And, I repeat, want Pioneers to beat cc at Magness tonight.

Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

Has anyone heard the status of Chris Nutini who went awkwardly into the boards last night in the 3rd period and did not return to the ice?

He has been playing great. Can't afford to lose him especially with Wiercioch and Donovan headed for the WJC in the next couple of weeks.

Buy the single tickets and spend the game standing in Section 18. Its more fun.

All the posters from this Board stand there.
Its closer to the beer.
Its closer to the restrooms.
You'll have a great view of the game & the student section from around the 15th row.

Tonights game is 100% sold out. Nothing left at the ticket office and dozens of people were turned away when I was there.

Thank you DG, I will suggest that! Oh and DU will win tonight!

Haven't heard a thing 78 which must mean he's good to go.

This could be the most important game of the season tonight. DU needs to show that they can seal the deal and get the sweep. We don't have much in the way of challenging opponents for the next two months. Just BC and UND at the Ralph

Don't forget tUMD. The Connollys, Bordson and Fontaine have been hot this year.

UMD is a very good top 10-15 team this year. It will be a very tough struggle in Duluth for points.

Re: All Things DU XXV - Murray Up and Get The Chevy Out of The Repair Shop

Is anybody here going to Magness Arena next weekend to see a couple of the Women's Olympic Gold Medal-hopefuls? I haven't seen the event marketed too much around town, but should be really cool. One word... VETTER! Can she shut out Canada??

I plan to be there, and have my tickets already.

Ruegsegger sitting at 99 career points after the cc weekend. I was hoping
#100 would come at Magness, but now I hope he gets a handful in Duluth this weekend.
