Swami would be the first to point out that Becca's stats would make her the clear #2 goalie if she played for DU.We all know Tyler Ruegsegger is on his way to the Century Club--90 points and counting.
But let's not forget, the hockey gene exists in little sister, Becca, Freshman goaltender at Wisconsin. Becca has stepped in as the Badgers #1 tender.

That may be the number of students left at each school after they beat each other with their hockey clubs at the High-Fructose-Taco-Hut-but-no-Burgers place in Denver last night.

No joke - its pretty serious stuff for club hockey... and yes, they do play DU. Look at their schedule near the bottom of this page:
http://csuhockey.com/
DU beat CSU's club 6 - 5 on October 24. Seat7 and i used to go to CSU games when DU wasn't playing. Nice mix of that college atmosphere and SlapShot.
DU's CLUB team plays CU and CSU. If DU's WCHA team played CU or CSU's club team, they'd win by at least 10 goals.
The last club team DU's varsity played was Iowa State in 1981, and DU racked up about 20 goals in the weekend series. It was ugly.
Yeah, 10-4 and 10-1. You wonder who arranged that slaughter, and why. Probably the Iowa State guys thought, what the heck, any excuse to get out of Ames. And maybe they got a comparatively good pay day out of it.
But really, a D-1 team playing a club team?
ISU was drawing 4,000-6,000 fans per game in that era at home, and Al Murdoch, the coach, knew Ralph Backstrom...

Yep, sorry to make you clarify it. CSU does rank high in the ACHA Division II standings every year. CU not so much. It is a big rivalry. Beating CU makes some Ft. Collins people think that CSU is ready for NCAA Division I.
The DU score may be closer to 20-0. Alabama Huntsville played Tennessee last year and won 13-0.
DU was all lined to play Penn State's club team in Magness Arena this season when DU found out that it would count as a "regular season" game for scheduling purposes and not an "exhibition waiver" like the games against the Canadian universities.
I'm sure that many schools would rather play a Penn State than a Canadian school for attendance purposes, but this is why most D-1 don't play club teams.
I would like to see the Colorado EGulls play the Pioneers (as long as they played the college rules and had college referees) rather than play a club team.
Most of the Central Hockey League teams have roughly five to ten former college players on their roster.
