All Things Denver XXXVIII: On To Better Days!

DU announced Pio Vision Schedule today.

http://www.denverpioneers.com/sports/m-hockey/spec-rel/101514aab.html

Previously announced DU will be on CBS Sports Network three times late in the season on the road at CC and SCSU

http://www.nchchockey.com/page/show/878695-tv-schedule

DU's road games in the NCHC will be streamed on video for a fee on NCHC.TV

http://www.nchc.tv/

Basically that leaves the two games at Cornell and the two games at the Dartmouth Showcase (Dartmouth and Brown) that aren't available for viewing on TV or the Internet.

http://www.ivyleaguedigitalnetwork.com will have the Cornell games, and probably the Dartmouth/Brown games as well. Not sure if there's a fee.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVIII: On To Better Days!

Have we indefinitely postponed the re-do of the locker room? That means we've got at least one more year of that d*mn duck!

Incidentally Viz, if you watch "This Old House," you'll occasionally see them using Rocky sauce as spackle. IIRC I ate at Rocky Bilt precisely once (that little shoe horn store just west of University Park Pharmacy). And once was definitely enough!

The place to eat in those days was Pat & Lucy's on the west side of University in the middle of the block. The ladies had home made soup and pies every day for lunch. You'd get a piece of pie still warm from the oven! They had a $3.50 filet mignon special, soup and salad. The hockey team would occasionally have pre-game meals there. Looking back on it, Pat & Lucy were probably ahead of their time, if you catch my drift. But the food was great.

I wish I could recall the specifics of the nice out of town lady fan who claimed she and her traveling companion had a wonderful time at the Border. Can't recall where I heard from her. But she was full of praise about the place and I didn't have the heart to wise her up.

Nice game by Cowley tonight--a shutout to start the season. The Pios had a great 1st period, but Kasdorf really was strong.

Tanner Jaillet tomorrow night

So tonight DU starts its 20-something freshman Canadian goal tender! I love it. Somewhere, Mariucci's ghost is getting his chain out of the closet. "I am the ghost of a*s kickings past."

Jaillet is only 23 months older than Cowley:rolleyes:

Tonight Tariq Hammond replaces Nick Neville on the blue line and Brad Hawkinson replaces Evan Janssen on the 4th line.

Where's Danny Almonte when you really need him?

Re: All Things Denver XXXVIII: On To Better Days!

For mine own amusement. At WRVA in Richmond, we spent an entire day cracking Danny Almonte jokes. As in: "Danny's son is driving him to the age hearings and will testify his dad is only 12." Stupid, of course. But, man, what an enjoyable experience over something so profoundly trivial as cheating in little league baseball.
