Re: All Things Denver XXXVII

The Pioneers got a measure of redemption in Omaha, coming from behind with two solid outings to eliminate UNO. Wiping away going 1-3 against CC and Miami coming down the stretch. So we celebrate that. And the possibility, however slim, that they've still got a chance for 20 wins and a trip to the tournament.

I don't say that to be pessimistic. Just to say who knows what the hell's going to happen or how the hell it's going to happen.

Which could end up with a very good result for a high-20's PWR team with some good wins and bad losses.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVII

FS23 has been running the Top 100 Greatest Teams of the NCAA era Tournament.
And today the 1960-61 Pioneers met a totally outclassed UNH.
Game recap-- http://www.collegehockeyweekly.com/1960-1961-DU-Pioneers-vs-2001-2002-New-Hampshire-Wildcats.html

The result was only fitting for a team that went 30-1-1 and had 5 1st team All Americans. This team was an offensive juggernaut.
Since none of us were around campus back then, here's a little history courtesy of FS23.

The time of tomorrow's game really sucks for me. Probably will miss most of the game heading home from work. Maybe I will be able to pick up the DU audio on my phone.

Wow, excellent article by Chambers on Zach Miller. Great story, and the kid can flat out play. Interesting that they will have Native American dancers, etc. on the hill at the lacrosse game this Saturday vs. Rutgers.

They averaged better than 7 goals a game! 'Nuff said.

Agreed.
Senecas are known as O-non-dowa-gah, (pronounced: Oh-n'own-dough-wahgah) or "Great Hill People" DU's campus was once referred to as the Hilltop. Sounds like a perfect match.

I notice that on the "Shop Denver" page they're still selling gear with the jelly donut! What in Chr*st's name is it going to take to bury that garbage once and for all? Is there nobody at DU in charge? Man, that is so bush.

Re: All Things Denver XXXVII

Candace and Matt (USCH0) both picked wmu. tried to sign on Twitter to point out the error of their choices--Twitter overloaded--I blame the BB March Madness crowd:mad:
Guess where DU usually posts line charts? Wouldn't you know--twitter:p

Tame those broncos, Pios!

BTW--that jelly donut looks a lot better than that thing. imho, that resembles road kill or a cowpie :o :D

No problem with Twitter. I posted both teams line charts on the game thread
